That is absolute horseshit from Calderon. So let me get this straight; Real have been desperate to shift Bale since at least last summer, so much so that there was a lot of noise about him going to one of the cash rich Chinese clubs for significantly less than they paid for him years earlier. Then that backfired, and Zidane made it publicly known Bale wasn’t really in his plans but Real was left with a 600k a week player largely on their bench and eating a huge hole into their budget. Then some mad bastard club offered them 89 million for a player edging towards the outer rim of his peak, a player they were keen to sell, and they rejected it? I’ve seen dogs fucking on roundabouts making more sense than thisTerrible source, and makes zero sense to me but seeing as some people seem to like to take media reports as gospel and formulate opinions/arguments accordingly:
