4321 with højbjerg/sissoko and lo celso in the two. Son left, bale mid, stevie right. If ndombele is fit then we can go 433.

Kane is too isolated and when he drops down to create we lack a threat in the box. If we put bale centrally he can link up with Harry and also take his place when Harry wants to get involved in the build up.

Yeah I was also wondering if we would still go 4-2-3-1 with Bergwijn in there.

Bergwijn can also play in all three positions behind centre forward so him and Bale could alternate with Son staying left where he’s happiest.

Or 4-3-3 but it’s good to have options.

That Joker bloke on twitter (Madrid's JJ according to someone on here, although I think that's doubtful) saying that we're paying 100% of his wages and that we have no option to buy at end of the loan ... ?

I don't see any way that could happen. It would be pure stupidity on our part.

Why do I get the impression that Gary is just as much of a nob irl?

Mate of mine is a top editor and has done a few shows with Gary, really didn’t like him.

Yeah it’s interesting as Lineker was one of my first favourite players and generally thought of as footballs mr nice guy.

But a kindly older Asian lady who I used to work with (she is absolutely spurs mad too) worked at spurs as well and said he was horrible.

And she wasn’t the kind of person to think badly of people so that set off alarm bells.

So he most probably is a massive weapon (I love that phrase! ??) and he does come across a bit of a smug dick on Twatter.

Although he usually is quite pro-spurs so at least has that going for him.

Maybe the joker thing is lost in translation? Or more lively their mouthpiece softening our magical deal to their fans ?

I'm not against this transfer but is anyone else worrying that having signed Bale, Levy/JM don't think we need a striker?

I'm going to assume JM and DL have had that conversation before sanctioning the deal, so I trust what JM thinks, well lets face it he knows and is far more qualified than us.

I just can't get over he's finally coming back. My favourite ever player, I literally went to Madrid so I could watch him play again. Alright of course he was injured but that's besides the point :cautious:

I just don't know why we would have a formation to accommodate one of our lesser players instead of adding hopefully Ndombele or another creative part in the midfield.

Exactly. I like both Dier and Davies but lets face it, neither have proved themselves to be top class CB's. Alderweireld absolutely is top class but he's getting on. There's issues with that defence. I'd rather play to our strengths for the moment.

I'm so excited, we're actually going to have Bale back ?

I'm curious though, it seems to be a 1 year loan but does it have an option to buy at the end? Or does Bale just go back to Madrid after?

We're unsure yet as to the conditions of the loan afterwards, I imagine it'll become clearer the closer the deal is finalised.
