No matter how this transfer turns out, this is a signing we will all remember fondly for the way we felt when it was announced. A proper Tottenham signing. In terms of excitement, I can only think of van der Vaart and Edgar Davids coming close in my lifetime. I was a bit too young to remember Klinsmann but I'd imagine that was the same.
