My take is that Poch is putting him in the shop window for January and talking him up for a sale.

I think it takes more than a few kind words in a presser to convince another club to buy a player, Poch doesn't or never has had agenda or mind games. He seems to prefer to say things how they are, or not say anything at all.

If GKN can get it together he could be very useful for us, he's obviously rapid and has tricks in his locker hopefully he has been working on application and end product we don't really have a pacey skillful wide man, Son fits the bill but his best work comes through the middle for me rather than hugging the touchline and going past his man.

Alasdair gold who is a relatively respected journalist regarding anything Spurs says that the penny has recently dropped with N'Koudou regarding his application in training and his attitude has been excellent recently.

Lets hope he performs tonight, he clearly has talent and we definetley need a fast tricky wide player as an option in our squad.

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Georges-Kevin NKoudou has finally started to realise what it takes to be a Premier League footballer.

The French winger, 22, signed for Spurs for £11million from Marseille but has never really made an impact on the senior team, with most of his 21 appearances across all competitions coming as a substitute.

But Pochettino has seen signs of a shift in attitude from NKoudou in the last few weeks and has decided that he is ready for a bigger role, starting with Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Apoel Nicosia at Wembley.

“I am happy with him in the last few weeks,” Pochettino said of NKoudou at his Tuesday media briefing, as quoted by Football London. “He started to realised that he needed to improve in many things. It’s true that he’s so young. I wanted to give him before an opportunity before but maybe it was impossible. Maybe tomorrow he will have the possibility to play and to prove that he can help the team and start to grow up.

“I think when the players are so young, always they need different timings and to realise how they need to work. I think he’s a great guy. Nothing to complain about his behaviour and everything because he’s a lovely kid. But in professional football in the last few weeks he’s shown he should have the possibility to play and show his quality.”

NKoudou has played just four times this season and has not once been named in the starting line-up despite long-term absences for the likes of Erik Lamela, Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama.

The thing that I worry about with Nkoudou and I hope it is one of the things they have been working on is that he tends to stop dead before delivering a ball or playing a pass, he can beat a man but seems to lack the confidence or ability to play the ball on the move. The defenders aways seem to catch him up/close him down when he does this. It’s a strange one. It would be great if he could step up but who knows.

If he starts, its a big, big game for him tonight. Has to not only work hard but have an effect on the game, otherwise I think that's the end for him at Spurs (or should be at least)

Be nice just to mix it up a bit with some different players and see if we can have any break outs. Players like Eriksen and Alli need a break both look a little off the pace. Be nice to see Lamela get a good run out if he's ready.

Only saw the second half but GKN looked very lively and direct which was good to see. Would love to see him do that in the league now.

Really happy for him and hopefully he can continue and improve because he could be a great option in the league

Reminds me a bit of Lennon in the way he runs, hopefully better end product(y)

He could be just what we need to break a couple of teams down and play balls into Kane

If GKN really has his stuff together, I would love to see him start in games ahead of Moussa Sissoko, different body shapes and players but Sissoko can go imo

Can Lamela play in the CL Knockouts, I know he was omitted from the Group Stage

I’m pretty sure we re-register squad in January for next stage.

Think that was mentioned when we initially left Lamela out of our champions league squad.

You are correct on both counts

I was at the game today and still not convinced. Scored a goal but his end product is seriously lacking. I just don't think he can get to the level we need him at I'm afraid.
