one thing i noticed was how happy the other members of the squad were with his performance. after tracking back and recovering the ball after we lost it up the pitch, Vertonghen literally applauded his effort and after the game Son was pointing at him and gave him a big hug... as well as 1 or 2 others

Yeah I saw Verts applaud him, it was a great but of tracking back, very Aaron Lennon like.

Poch just said in his pre-match conference that GKN is not ready fitness wise to start a match. Said in the mean time he'll play the impact sub role for us till he's fully fit. Fortunately GKN has got two weeks during the international break to focus on that. I can see him starting the cup game against Liverpool at the earliest (barring injury to one of the starters).

Shows just how smart Poch is when it comes to introducing new players. He knows GKN was great against CSKA, but he's got the restraint to know he's not ready to do that for 60+ minutes and set him up, essentially, for failure of sorts.

Having seen N'Koudou come on for Spurs as a sub a few times I'm really looking forward to see what he can do with a longer stint on the field. Starting him now may be a bit too soon - but he certainly strikes me me as a player that has the skills and enthusiasm to impact games in a positive way for Tottenham Hotspur. An edge-of-the-seat player.

One thing I've noticed is that when he has come on his teammates seem to have been particularly keen to involve him in the game. It's almost as if they're eager to see what kind of magic that N'Koudou can perform. Anyone else feel the same?

It's early days now but N'Koudou could prove to be the signing of the summer...

But remember he was in a hotel room playing Fifa for 2 months over the summer, so won't be ready to make a first team appearance until the turn of the year.......

I'd really like to see him get a start against Bournemouth if fit. Thinks he deserves it after what I've seen of him and I really want to see more of him.

I'd like to see him take the place of Eriksen or Lamela as they've been underperforming recently. ;)

I trust Poch and the decisions he makes but I really think this guy could be a star for us and could make the difference in how well we do this season, so I'm hoping he starts soon. A player I really hoped we'd buy was Ousmane Demebele and GKD seems like the budget version of him.

I felt that the game against Leverkusen and today's game were screaming out for Nkoudou with some pace towards the end.

I can't understand why Poch has two fullbacks instead of GKN on the bench. Hope he plays against Liverpool on Tuesday.

Sissoko has yet to produce anything noteworthy, other than a dogged display in the city game and we have lacked quality and pace in the final third so far this season. He couldn't be worse than what we've already had.

We could do with Kane back asap

I just thought Poch considers him to be no where near the desired level of fitness we require, which is why he's not even making the match day squads?

Having said that, I reckon we'll see him and Wimmer against Pool in EFL cup this Tues.

Has there been any reports regarding his recent absence?

Will he feature in the up midweek?
