Exactly what i like in a player, intelligence, technique and quick to boot. You can tell he's had a continental upbringing. If he was one of our own homegrown wingers like Townsend he'd hog the ball and lose it in dangerous positions; however you can tell he knew when to run and when to lay it off. Smacks of maturity.

Early days obviously but he had a very mature game tonight I thought. Didn't try to do anything stupid, tracked back well, kept the ball and recycled it and was aggressive when he could be.

The perfect sub for the last 20 minutes?

What I'm most impressed with has been his decision making and maturity on and off the ball.

Plays like a seasoned pro.

Hes more mature than Njie. Good decision to bring him in. Hopefully he will make an impact. I also noticed he is two footed, which is always a plus.

I want to see him play on the right, son on the left and Lamela centrally. That array of pace on the wings and Lamela's ability to play the perfect through ball would be fun to watch. Good thing is he is very two footed so he could stay wide and cross or cut in and shoot with his left.

I thought N'Jie showed potential last season, but based on last nights performance, NKD looks a lot less like a headless chicken and has similar lethal pace. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

No point getting carried away but you can tell just from his cameo he's got more than just pace.
Hopefully he can be a missing piece in our squad. Would be an incredible thing to have, someone to come on last 20/30mins who can run with the ball at pace. These are differences in winning a game and drawing.

Early days for him but just with Son settling in and the Wanyama addition our squad feels so much stronger than last season.

As others have said it's early days but first impressions are very positive. Quick, skillful, hard working and making mature decisions. I think the fact that he looks like he's a great kid, enjoying it all really helps too. His tweet about himself sums it up. Very likeable.

Strange comment. Winks was similarly good when he came on, miraculously without a continental upbringing.

The bane of being a good fast player: assigned to coming on at the tail end of a game when others are tired.

Worth noting that arsenal never used henry this way - instead he's on from the start with intent to get 2 or 3 up before half time.

Not comparing the 2, but it's a point nonetheless.

As much as people will disagree, i'm in the same boat as you. For me Son out left can't be dropped, Lamela is our best player as the centre of the AM, that leave the right position open for grabs and Alli and Eriksen really aren't doing enough to make it theirs. I'd happily play GKN or Sissoko down the right, great headache to have.

I think he'll go on to be the second best player in the world.... after Marcus Edwards of course :).

Seriously though, he was the one bright spark from an attacking point of view last night. Surprisingly more composed than I was expecting as well.
