Who, you mean the goal keeper who just won the world cup?Hugo just isn’t a world class keeper anymore and hasn’t for two seasons. We probably can’t afford anyone better. So we just need to back him. Personally We need a cm, can and a goal keeper but that will cost £200m and we just aren’t going to spend that.
Yes mate. That one that didn’t have loads to do in the World Cup final and still gave away a goal. He’s capable of great moments but is to often capable of fuck ups. Like I say I doubt we could afford better but let’s not kid ourselves that we have one of the best anymore.Who, you mean the goal keeper who just won the world cup?
So who would even be a realistic replacement? I can't really think of any obvious choices out there, even though it's totally unrealistic Poch would make the move to start cutting him out. We'll just have to start hoping for improved form.
LOL a player plays in the way he has for years and the way he's instructed, and makes an understandable error literally 4 days after winning a big game for us pretty much by himself.
"Melt, melt, melt, get rid of him etc."
Honestly, this fucking place.
I guarantee too that the same people who are criticizing him for this are the same who also whinge when he doesn't make the decision to come out.

There's a huge difference between "having a mistake in him" and making costly mistakes every few games. Some people want to stick their head in the sand, and think back to his better days, fine. But no-one can tell me that he's a safe pair of hands these days. Some hilarious comments in here. Hugo has always had that kind of mistake in him, this isn’t anything new. Shit happens. He’s still a bloody good keeper, and I’d rather have him in goal than Vorm or Gazza. He’s the best keeper we will be able to afford by far. Look how much too keepers go for these days.
Have we all forgotten the three points he got us on Sunday?
It's a difficult one because a lot of times he does get it right, at times only just. It's the risky side of the sweeper keeper role he has. He can make 10 of those and get away with it so people credit him. Then he'll make an error and cost a goal (which he didn't last night) or in this case get sent off and people criticise him. He does need to judge these situations better and not come charging out as often. But he does also need to continue being decisive in situations when the defence are upfield. If there's a defender near the offensive player and it's outside the box he needs to stay put.
This mistake didn't cost us though. Sanchez was sloppy on the ball and then Eriksen also gives a sloppy pass away. So the error was caused by those 2 first and foremost. The fact is we should have been more than 1 goal in front by that time anyway. We didn't concede because we had 10 men either, we conceded from poor marking. Lets not forget Lloris got us a win against West Ham only the other day too. So yes he has cost us at times this season (this wasn't really one of them either) but he's also saved us. We've lost 1 CL game with Lloris in goal and drawn 1, won all league games.
Karius was shipped out pronto when he fecked up in the CL final.
We're in a different project, though.
There have been loads of non world class players that have won the World Cup you know.
Remember the french striker in 98 who Newcastle brought (can’t remember his name), he couldn’t hit a cow arse with a banjo
Yes, it is bc the "disaster" are nowhere near as often as some people say they are for one, and two, it's coming after a mistake where he made a decision that he would have quite literally made 100 times before for us, and only on a handful of those has he got it wrong like he did against PSV. It's a decision that saves goals and games far more regularly than it costs them. It’s not a knee jerk reaction though is it? I would say Lloris has been in a steady decline for about 2 years now. The mistakes he makes leading to goals is getting ridiculous.
If you look at all the stats for keepers in the league Lloris is nowhere near the top
There is. The forrmer is accurate, the latter is pathetic reactionary hyperbole. Difference. There's a huge difference between "having a mistake in him" and making costly mistakes every few games. Also, didn't Llorente win a world cup?Stephan g'uivarch I think was his name. I always use him as a go to for the same discussion.
Neither Messi or Ronaldo have won a world Cup either. Which is the opposite side.
Regardless whether anyone wants Lloris to go or stay. He does not deserve his place in the team presently. Gazzaniga should not of been dropped either.
Also, didn't Llorente win a world cup?
Not exactly world class.
