Honestly nothing to do with Lloris. The defence were this shit at Southampton and have been all year. We just have shit defenders.

Did you see how many times he nearly cost us with hospital passes put from the back, and flapping at crosses? The guy is f*****g crap, he is our captain and sets the tone for the rest of the team, the tone being panicky and shite.

Lloris’ kicking has always been by far his weakest trait, but I don’t recall him being as horror-inducing with his passing as he’s been in the last couple of years.

It’s not just the execution but the decision to continually play it to a defender who’s under pressure. Completely mystifying.

I said before the game he shouldn’t have been straight back in.

Sends wrong message to Forster who had been playing better than Lloris had pre-injury.

Lloris has been a good servant but needs to be refreshed in summer.

That one to Romero was hilarious.

If Romero wasn't such a cool character on the ball, that would have certainly been a goal

It is quite sad that players like Lloris have been with us so long that they end up costing us.

It taints the memory and that's not right.

He should have been replaced 2 years ago.
Dier three years ago.
Sanchez 3.
Son should have had serious competition.
Winks 4
Sissoko stayed 1 year more than he should.
Eriksen 1 year longer than he should.
Toby 2 more than he should.

I hope that performance director is good because they are supposed to evaluate and anticipate stuff like this.

Absolutely wrong to have dropped Forster. I was so furious when I saw the team sheet.
Its Keystone Cops time when Hugo and his motley crew start playing out from the back.

Please Hugo retire from Prem football along with international duty. Have a Nice time on the Riveria or wherever, mais rien de plus Spurs, merci beaucoup et adieu.

We look panic stricken under pressure and a big chunk of that is down to Lloris having no idea with the ball at his feet, truely awful.

Needs to be replaced permanently. The root cause of putting an already fragile defence under pressure when he has the ball at his feet. And him being Captain sums up the state of the Club.

Captain of the titanic. Just incites panic at the back. As sound as a paper house in oklahoma. Love him but needs to just stop before his rep is completely tainted.

Completely agree.

The problem is now compounded by the fact that Stellini won't have the balls to drop Lloris, so we'll be stuck with his nervous kicking and mistakes until the end of the season.

If he'd just kept Forster in he could've at least used the excuse that Forster hadn't done anything to deserve losing his place. Whereas now bringing Forster back is like sticking his middle finger up at our club captain so he won't do it.

I know people say "no keeper saves those shots" etc but it really does rattle me when he just stands there and watches the ball go in.

Surely you have a go at saving it if you know where it's going?

Remember when we stopped playing out from the back under Jose, and Hugo had his best spell?

We've always known Hugo isn't great under pressure, so why would we use a tactic that put him under pressure?

Yup, you can't teach an old dog new tricks and he just will never be comfortable with the ball at his feet.

It has been limited under other managers to stop excessive pressing and risk taking and should be considered short term whilst he plays. I think that Forster has given us an insight into having a ball playing keeper and it is the right way to go. No point giving away the ball by hoofing the ball up the field and if we can beat the press it does give us a good counter attacking advantage.

That said, the defenders in front of him other than Romero are not the best with the ball at their feet so all of that culminates in a tactic that is not particularly sensible for the personnel at our disposal.

after forster distrubition it really shows how piss weak lloris kicking is as well, even his punts down field are just loppy, fluffy, barely making the halfway line, joke his still plays for us and captain on top

He made more wrong choices with his distribution last night than Forster did in his whole time deputising. Felt so much more assured with Forster. Was surprised to see Lloris come straight back in but here we are.
