He is - and I don't think he's doing a bad job, to be honest, especially when you compare his performances to Doherty this season...

I think he'd be great on the right hand in a back 3.

All things considered then yeah he is doing ok.

Need to move him inside in one way or another as you say.

Sadly he seems to be injury prone. Maybe he has been unlucky. But if he has a tendency for getting injured regularly and appears to take a long time to recover. If so we need to move him on.

I’d say injury prone is where you pull up or break down a lot. The latest was a pretty heavy tackle where his foot was scissored. Think that’s unlucky not injury prone necessarily

If you are fouled and injured
then the fouler should be banned
until the injured party returns.

I've never bought into this. Son would have missed 9 months for breaking Gomes leg. It's just one of those things.

Spotted in the pre-season training video and does look like he's back to health. Will be good to see him get minutes in the pre-season friendlies.

I like Tang a lot. It’s not unusual for young physically powerful players to get multiple injuries. What is crucial is how and the coaching staff adapt his game to ensure he flourishes but also doesn’t needlessly enhance his chances of getting injured.

I seem to remember a stage of 3/4 years where Arsenal had multiple superb young talent that just kept getting loads significant injuries.

Commanding CB in a back 3 where positioning is key should suit him nicely. RB or RWB requires a hell of a lot physically these days so maybe that’s not best suited to him.

could you imagine Ledders trying to play RWB/RB for example

Offer from Gala on loan. Personally hope we don't loan him out but if we do he could surely get a Prem loan.

I think a loan could be good for Japh but would much rather that be in the PL or Championship. However with the Europa Conference this season its probably best to hold on to him and reassess in January.
