Trippier is a great full back. If he played every game i think he would guarantee you double figures in assists.

Is hilarious how our own set of fans are so resentful against Tripps; a wonderful no-complain and professional FB who standby the squad and working his socks off when called upon in the previous seasons till now.

Pace not his greatest asset, and so what? We are not facing Citeh in every games. Tripps is far more reliable than Aurier until he learnt the trade in EPL. KWP is still a kid for goodness sake; no way he could be trusted into the senior team so early in his progress without a serious lack of personnel.

Seeing Aurier plays for only half a season, I will be damn disappointed with Poch if he thinks Trips can leave.

Question isn't really whether or not Trippier is good, or whether or not he is professional, or whether or not he would produce more if he played more (duh). Question if Walker-Peters is senior squad ready, what are we to do with three RBs? That's just one too many for a manager who wants a small squad. It's just a cynical decision about which two would we rather have moving forward, and not whether or not Trippier is good enough.

Them rumours are probably bull seeing as he's unhappy with game time?!
Weird that one. He has the same game time as Davies and Son and more than Aurier. He is a FB/WB under Poch, so nothing new there as playing FB under Poch is a team effort. And after the weak performance vs. City, he had it coming with a couple of matches on the bench.

Everyone keeps saying this but I'm really not sure it's the case at all. And if Aurier continues to start consecutive games it seems Poch would agree

he's older than the two kids that liverpool(a team who are above us btw) have had at rb all season.
This. Also KWP showed against Newcastle he’s able to play at this level already.

I’ve never really been a Trippier fan for how we like to play.

I have no doubt KWP will be a able back up/ competition for Aurier

We will listen to good offers on Tripps. Interesting to watch how this develops. Personally, I wish we sell him rather than risk loosing KWP.

What are internal thoughts on KWP potential? He looks a bit lightweight to me but barely seen him play and he is young. I hope we sell Tripps IF KWP is good enough as we won’t find many better back-up RB’s than Trippier and he seems like a great pro but unfortunately really he’s out of his depth any time he’s up against a top class winger.

We need like for like full backs whom can play as both FB and WB and not to the detriment and balance of the team. Aurier and KWP fit this mould, as does Rose. Trippier doesn’t and neither does Davies. Fortunately for the latter he’s a much better defender than Trippier.

Davies being a good defender saves him as going forward he is about a 5/10

Given that he has 3 assists and two goals over 1100 minutes of game time this season, what exactly would it take for you to give him say a 7? Would he have to be a cross between Dele and Kane with a touch of Ginola or something? Davies is our best LB/LWB. End of story.

I'm worried about KWP''s height.
His height is probably fine, but he doesn't have a whole lot of muscles yet. (Which obviously can be fixed).

That is more about the team he is in than his quality. He consistently passes backwards whereas Rose runs and beats players, Davies has on ok cross on him but he lacks the pace, athleticism and skill to attack and go at players, good defender but as I said, very average going forwards.

I like that about Davies. I like that he doesn't try to be a midfielder when he is clearly a LB. To me, Davies has a far better understanding of the LB/LWB than Rose. Rose just tries to show off. Davies just tries to get the job done. Now, if they were supposed to play as pure midfielders, Rose is better.
