Can’t wait to see the comments here when he next has a poor game
Just thinking this myself.
Can’t wait to see the comments here when he next has a poor game
Bit sad that you both "Can't wait" for that. Maybe you should try and get some genuine excitement in your lives, rather than eagerly anticipating the reaction to a poor performance on a web forum,
Can't believe the criticism Trippier gets. His footballing intelligence wipes the floor with most full backs in the league. Probably got the best delivery of any in the league and when he plays as aggressively as he did last night he's in the top 3 or 4 in the league.
I've got no doubt Aurier will keep improving but we shouldn't even consider moving Trippier on, he's a solid performer and good team player.

Awful first 20 minutes, brilliant remaining 70. Took advantage of no protection for Young on United's left hand side. Was akin to when Benitez left Maicon up against Bale in the home game of the CL in 2010/11.
We need Aurier’s pace against Liverpool though. Horses for courses.I'm not the biggest fan and I personally prefer Aurier, but if a player can't retain his place after a performance like the one against United then football really is a cruel sport. You're only as good as your last game and he's earned the right to start against Liverpool and prove he should be first choice, in my opinion.
If he starts and has a bad game, Aurier will come back in and he can have no complaints. At least give him the chance, though.
