Florentino Perez:
"I am proud to announce the signing of our newest Galactico.... Kieran Trippier!"

his delivery today was just ridiculous, he makes so many cute passes into the channels for runners as well.
It’s slightly weird the lack of respect Trippier gets. Yes ok don’t judge a player on the World Cup blah blah. But the guy was probably England’s best player and created the most chances of any player in the whole World Cup. If Rose has that World Cup and these stories were circulating, people wouldn’t be laughing they’d be going absolutely mental. Very strange the guy is still so unappreciated.
Contract negotiations probably starting soon, I'd imagine. His agent's played a blinder.
Getting regular extensions is the way we work. In the past year he's become our senior RB, after Walker's departure, and a regular England international - so I wouldn't be surprised if his agent was looking for a top-up.We really negotiating a contract with him? He only signed an extension last summer and has 4 years left on his current deal.

As I posted earlier in the thread they were discussing a new contract before he went off to the WC. I wouldn't be surprised if that needed adjusting a bit after his showing at the tournament though.
Going to be an interesting season for Tripps. I think he's going to struggle against the best teams and players as he regularly does, but what I'd like to see is if he is given the opportunity to influence the game with the ball like he does for England. If he becomes a weapon from set pieces then it goes a long way to make up for any defensive shortcomings.

Unless you're amongst the elite in the squad I.e. Kane, eriksen, Alli...Or a very promising youngster I.e. winks, then we don't hand out annual contract extensions to every member of the squad, unless they have had a ridiculously good season.
What a load of bollocks.
Really? I think his best games have come against the better teams. What you mean is against teams with a very quick LF/LW. but then every full back will struggle against them. Definitely suits him better as a WB though(as it does Rose) so lets see if we change it up to suit them both this season.
