I’m not convinced he’s what we need.

Takes so many touches.

Am I the only one who is gutted to see Arsenal get Auba, who is a world class striker and we get Moura.

£55m for Auba is an absolute steal and those saying about his discipline are kidding themselves, he’s playing up because he wants to leave.

I’d love him at Spurs.

Moura, I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think he’s very good

Jeeze man I think you need a lie down if you liken him to Ronaldinho.. he shouldn't even be mentioned in same breadth as Ronaldinho. .
He's a technically more gifted & harder working Theo Walcott.. good finisher.. but often just looks at ball & runs

I agree he's no Ronaldinho, not even close but to dub him as a technically more gifted Theo Walcott is a bit unfair.

I'm technically more gifted than Theo Walcott and I've never played a professional game in my life.

He has a particular skill set that I can't really liken him to anyone.

but if I was going to say someone, from what I've seen, he's more like Man City's Sane.

Comparing him to Walcott is so painfully stupid. Walcott also scored over 100 goals for Arsenal, he's not a bad player. If Lucas is a more technically gifted and harder working Walcott, we'd have some player on our hands.

Moura is clearly the better player than Walcott. Walcott might end up with more career goals but let's not forget Walcott often played like a striker through the middle.

When it comes to skill dribbling and creativity Moura is much the better player.

I think Sane is miles better than him..Sane plays with his head up..to get best out Moura you have to play with width cause he will skin most fullbacks

When he comes from Brazil,
And has all the Skill,
That's our Moura.

When we then brokered a deal
And it's a bit of a steal
That's our Moura

When a defence is in your face,
And you need a bit of pace
That's our Moura!!!

When he becomes a Yid
For less the £30m quid
That's our Moura!!!!!!!!!

To say I'm excited is an understatement...

Tim Vickery doesn't really say a lot in his article. If anything he just bangs on about his early career in Brazil, playing for the national team and the mistakes that were made by the coaching staff to select him when they shouldn't have. He doesn't even cover any part of his time at PSG because he probably didn't watch him during that time.

The stats speak for themselves in terms of his production. He's been a valuable player for PSG and is only surplus to requirements now because they have moved into another universe with their ridiculous spending.

The one thing you can say is that Vickery makes the point about Poch and how if he responds well to training then he could really hit his peak.

Having Aurier at the club will be he huge in helping him settle.

I don't think anyone is expecting him to come here and become our best player but equally he adds depth where we are lacking and experience. At the price we're paying, there is very little downside to this signing.

Yes at the fee, he's a good signing.

The exciting thing is he has the potential to be a brilliant signing, as Vickery acknowledges.

If we're realistic, there's a good reason why he's coming at such a relatively bargain price, but it's not limited ability, and it's certainly not limited potential. Last year he scored 18 goals for PSG, which isn't a bad return for a winger, and compared with someone like Townsend or Walcott, he's younger, has achieved more, and in my opinion from what I've seen, has far more football intelligence and ability.

I can't think of a better place for him than Spurs or a better manager for helping him realise his potential than Pochettino. So yes, it's a very exciting signing and a good deal for us.. Just get the fucker done!

Time will tell whether he’s a success or not. I’ll wish him well when he arrives and hope he tears up the league.

I wasn't saying he isn't. I'm saying using "A more technically gifted and harder working Walcott" as an insult is thick.

I rate Lucas and I'm looking forward to seeing if he can realise even more of his potential here.

I really don’t see how you can confidently say this. Despite being a figure of fun Walcott has had a decent career. He has scored and assisted on a consistent basis in the prem for a long time.

Moura has played in a much weaker league for by far and a way the strongest team in that league and still not stood out.

I hope he is a good purchase but until he has proven himself in much stronger league, in the prem, no one can confidently say he is ‘clearly a better player than Walcott’

Til he holds up the shirt
You'll have nothing but hurt
That's Lucas Moura.

On the dotted line,
Wait for him to sign
...Lucas Moura...

Don't listen to Jim White,
Wait for the Official Site
That's Lucas Moura.

Then his hamstring he tweeks
And he's out for 12 weeks
That's... Well, that's Spursy.

We can argue about his ability till the cows come home.

Fact of the matter is we are stronger with him than without. Gives us a dynamic that we dont have currently.

Typical modern day viewpoint. Sign player X, instantly complain that we haven't signed someone one of our rivals has.

I'm guessing this Auba fella is better because he cost twice as much, we should've sold Son, and tight **** Levy should've spunked up the £30+mil for Berahino the world beater :cautious:

Vickery is ace and has a wealth of knowledge about the game but his judgement on players isn't always great.
Ive dismissed him ever since he claimed Liverpool were signing the best young defender in the world, Coates.
