He isn't on their level, well not Hazards at least, and never will be. Salah is having the season of his life, over performing massively, Lucas will never get close to 20 goals in a season. Lucas is a risky signing IMO, were signing him for width and pace.

I just know when we apparently missed out on him n the summer, most people on here went Meh, now were signing him he is all of a sudden great.

Agreed certainly not Hazard level.

Has the tools to be a Mane type player IF he settles IMO (I actually think Mane is a bit over-rated) which would be good for us. Quick and notches up a decent amount of goals for a winger.

Funny thing in her is rapid, can dribble to a world class standard but the one thing that lets him down massively is his finishing.

4 years ago he was being hailed same level as Neymar. He has all the attributes. Come on people! Know the game!:peeking:

Agreed - I think he just needs a fresh start, a new challenge. Reunited with his old pal Serge and welcomed with a loving arm around him from Poch :angelic:

For me, what is exciting about it is that I believe we need one signing in January to increase the now rather slim chances of finishing top 4. A signing who has some CL experience would be perfect, giving where we are in the tournament. Having seen how the squad is faring so far this season, it's not going quite as well as last season. It leads me to believe that Moura, as much as he isn't a world star, and as far as a January signing goes, is just about interesting enough to make me excited. It's not a glowing statement on his abilities, more about the fact that he might just about meet the minimum standards of a player that we might need for the rest of the season. And beyond doubt, I think, a Sissoko upgrade.

Interesting reading in here, no idea though why some are not excited by Lucas , he has a lot of pace some great skill and control on the ball and has proven he can regularly play to a high level and has champions league experience. He is also still a good age so can improve further. He would be a great addition to the squad and could push the other players if they do not perform.

I've watched him quite a few times and always liked what he could do, never thought we would have a chance to sign somebody like him but i guess moneybags PSG don't want him anymore.

What you have to understand is that January is no different to the Summer as far as our approach to transfers are concerned. It's very much about value, and not wasting whatever budget we have on one player which would impact our other dealings. Traditionally January valuations would have had a significant knock on effect to the following Summer budget, which is far more important as far as squad building is concerned.
Yeah, I get that. It's just exciting with a bit of January busniess for once.

Well considering he is going to cost 1/5 of what Hazard is roughly valued at, I think that is fair enough. We are talking though about Pool and Chelsea's best players. Could either of those clubs buy a player who was going to be effective as Kane for a 1/5 of his value?

He doesn't need to score 20 goals a season because we already have players to do that, he just needs to bring something different, which imo he very much does.

This, plus there is always hope that Poch can get a bit more out of a player that needs a fresh start.

I would go along with that, I'm not against the signing.

Think the toughest thing for him is to work hard and adapt to life in England.

Haven't seen much of him lately... I only remember in some old FM, maybe 13 or 14 he was an attacking midfielder who can player left, right and centre. So a really versatile player.

I believe he can give us something different. Would be a nice addition to the team.

I was responding to a comment saying he could be our Hazard or Salah....

Fair enough mate. Our Hazard or Salah though is Kane and imo he is easily better than both them. Of course I'm talking about impact for the team, not how he goes about things on the pitch.

Who is on Hazard's level that we could reasonably get? This guy was one of the most talented young players in world football only a few seasons ago - he is extremely talented and he COULD become one of the best players in the league if it works out. For the price being talked about we should be all over this.

I think you got a bit of a raw deal there for a fair comment! Easily misunderstood.

It's interesting the finishing point, whoscored have it as a statistical weakness too. Last season in Ligue 1 he scored 12 from 66 shots which isn't too shabby, a goal every 200 or so mins, is it just that PSG create a ton of quality chances and he misses a fair share of sitters?
