Fair enough mate. Our Hazard or Salah though is Kane and imo he is easily better than both them. Of course I'm talking about impact for the team, not how he goes about things on the pitch.
You only have to look at how United and Chelsea have both struggled to sign a striker of Kane's calibre (and have looked on with jealousy) to see that Kane's contribution and consistency is much much harder to find. Hazard is a special player but he doesn't produce the goal scoring prowess and whilst Salah has been a great but for Liverpool, it remains to be seen whether or not he can keep up this form like Kane. Our problem has simply been having another answer to teams who sit back, therefore our need for another attacking option was probably less desperate than their need for a great striker.

4 years ago he was being hailed same level as Neymar. He has all the attributes. Come on people! Know the game!:peeking:
Their careers have substantially differed since that point though. Bit like comparing Gunter and Bale. Hopefully Moura can come and fulfill his promise, but you can know the game and still doubt whether he will fufil his potential

Media articles/tweets and previous ITK suggests to me this is more of an opportunistic signing than a long planned one of the transfer committee. Similar to the Sissoko signing.

JJ has shot down that Poch (edit) isn't keen which is a relief but doesn't mean he was Poch's first choice either.
Well “don’t kick a gift horse in the mouth” these things don’t come along often so hope we can get it done.

I think you got a bit of a raw deal there for a fair comment! Easily misunderstood.

It's interesting the finishing point, whoscored have it as a statistical weakness too. Last season in Ligue 1 he scored 12 from 66 shots which isn't too shabby, a goal every 200 or so mins, is it just that PSG create a ton of quality chances and he misses a fair share of sitters?

Yeah i feel bullied lol

Have some of you seen the competition this fella has at PSG? I honestly think this is a great signing for us. Brings much needed pace into our team we have been severely missing. Plus his mrs is filth

I've been saying for ages that our squad depth is not good enough to really compete on all fronts, citing the likes of Nkoudou, Janssen, Llorente and Sissoko as examples.

This will go some way to resolving that issue. Moura is not only a great option at RM but it could also allow us to use Son much more as the backup striker. It may mean that we are not as desperate to find a Kane alternative.

I know there's uncertainty regarding Danny Rose but apart from that all we need now is a great CM. Someone who can compete defensively and zip it around neatly and sharply. Once we have that we're pretty much set.

We could give Kane a rest from time to time with Son, Moura and Alli playing across the front three, for example. Pretty much what Liverpool tend to do with Sala, Firmino and Mane.

Those people who think he’s not a good signing are probably the same people who moan all the time about us not showing ambition in the transfer market.

FWIW I have been very critical of our ability to sign attacking players, but absolutely hats off to the club if we pull this one off.

If you think this guy is below the level of player we should be going for, then I think you’re living in cloud cukoo land.

He’s a top player whose star has fallen, just a little bit, but he’s got so much ability, just you watch*

*if we can get it done! :cautious:

Still need a back up for Eriksen.

Moura is a player that as long as he is willing to put in the shift mentally and physically under Pochettinos guidance.. He can become a very very explosive player for us and would offer us something quite rare these days when we play.... Pace, flair and decisiveness into the final third. Would be absolutely ecstatic if we complete this deal.

Not worried at all about his previous seasons at psg where he hasn't had much game time. Surprisingly (and pleasantly) his stats are impressive knowing there was no consistency in his performances due to playing as a bit part player (last year he payed 29 games 8 of those as sub and had a return of 12 goals and 5 assists) his always guaranteed to play a part whether it's assists, goals or being that player that done the hard work before Kane gets a tap in :sneaky:

At 25 years of age (best years ahead of him) the most important thing is for him to really dedicate himself to Pochettino and his football ethos, he will then reap the benefits and looking at around £20-25m for a permanent transfer... You can't go wrong.

maybe... but is he better than Steed?! ;)
