I don't know that anyone is - I simply asked the question because I had not seen enough of him to know any better. A lot of the clips I did watch showed him playing more centrally, and he looked like he could pick a pass - so I was wondering if he could be more like Coutinho.

It was just a question...
Sorry I read a couple of people saying that not necessarily you. I've not seen him a lot but he is more of a direct runner and shooter than play maker type. Needed in the squad, but I think there are players with better dribbling skills.

Wednesday would be soon regardless if we sign him today. Work permits take a while to be processed.

Tottenham are hopeful of completing the signing of Paris St-Germain’s out-of-favour winger Lucas Moura for a fee in excess of £20m.

The Brazilian has met Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy and is keen to complete the move.

Moura cost PSG £33.5m in 2013 but has made just six substitute appearances so far this season and has been told he can find a new club.

The 25-year-old has 36 Brazil caps and was part of his country’s squad that won the silver medal at the London Olympics.

Good signing Tottenham fans?

Tottenham hope to seal £25m Lucas Moura PSG transfer before deadline

Tottenham are hopeful of completing a deal worth around £25million for PSG winger Lucas Moura before Wednesday's transfer deadline.

Spurs have still to iron out the finer details of Moura's contract - expected to be an initial three-and-a-half-years with the option of a further year - and a fee with the Ligue 1 club, who want around £26.5m up-front with Spurs pushing for £22m plus bonuses.

Moura has made just six substitute appearances this season for the Parisians, who need to sell players to align with Uefa's Financial Fair Play rules following the summer signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Spurs are also conscious of the need to arrange a work permit for the 36-cap Brazil international before Wednesday's 11pm deadline, an hour after the end of their Premier League match against Manchester United at Wembley.

Moura, who was in London last week, has met Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and manager Mauricio Pochettino, and toured Hotspur Way, the club's Enfield training base.

He is currently paid around £75,000-a-week at PSG, and his wages should not pose a significant problem for Spurs

Would he not need a work permit first?

He probably has enough international caps

Lots of braziians have dual nationality. And Portuguese thus E. U passports
Dunno his personal wishes, but generally speaking he has been in France for long enough to become a permanent French resident if he has been wishing to pursue that. In which case he can work also in the UK for now. (Insert Brexit comment here).
Alternatively, as is pointed out, he may have dual citizenships, which is allowed by Brazilian law if the citizenship in the other country is acquired through hereditary family relations as per governing laws in the other nation.

Best to assume he needs a work permit but as he's an international and ain't chinned no gendarmes it should be a formality.

Tbh I think the media are just guessing now.

Some saying we've signed him, others saying we've agreed terms with Moura and not the fee, others saying it's vice versa.
The last time Dan posted an article he said we didn't expect a deal this month and the next day the news broke we were touring him around Hotspur Way. So, maybe now that he's posted we have yet to agree a fee we can announce the deal is done tomorrow?

Didn’t sky sports report on deadline day in the summer, a deal fell through because of a work permit?

Why is everyone being negative all of a sudden? Hercules said a couple of hours ago that it was imminent. I'll trust him here (y)
