Harsh. Last couple of games he's shown some great footwork when dribbling and, more importantly, some real awareness and incisiveness with his passing.
Not just harsh, but wrong.

You'd wonder if some people actually watched the game tonight. Played quite a few intelligent balls tonight.

He's done well recently but it wasn't just his below par performances early on it was his GBH for the red and his best attempt to get another red against Burnley that caused fans to question the signing.

lol rubbish, read this thread again even before the Bournemouth incident.

No need to. Are fans not allowed to question a record signing who deliberately elbowed an opponent? and then prior to setting up the winning goal against Burnley he should have seen red for a dangerous knee high challenge. If he'd been rightly sent off then there'd have been an uproar over his bad attitude. I'm not questioning his 'current form' and I'm pleased he's now doing well but it doesn't mean fans aren't allowed to question the signing. Incidentally I received a barrage of abuse at the end of last season for suggesting we should sign him.

No because people were questioning the signing before those incidents as I said before.

Yes, on the back of his extortionate fee, not being known as a goal scorer or for creating chances, a terrible attitude - Newcastle fans couldn't wait to get shot. Putting his attributes to one side, he doesn't fit the ethos of a Spurs signing and looks like a panic buy that may or may not work out. I hope it does workout but we shouldn't ignore that this is a player with a lot of baggage and a questionable attitude.

Maybe right to question it on that basis but there were some pretty bad and derogatory comments thrown in his direction and people generally writing him off, not surprising though because it sounded like the Danny Rose thread three years ago when he signed a new contract, people over-reacting and losing their shit and making some really spiteful comments but anyway at least people are starting to show a bit of support now.

I'm not going to lie, I'm not a huge fan of sissoko but even I can admit he has been pretty decent the last 4 games. Looks like he has finally settled and has adapted to how poch wants him to play, hopefully he has a strong second half the season! Fair play to him.

I will say this, after Poch called him out publicly, and dropped him for a few games, he appears to have really gotten his act together. We know Poch demands to see it on the training pitch first, so I think he is showing the right attitude, willing to work hard toward earning a spot on the squad. He has not sulked, or complained, just gone about his business. He may be taking advantage of Lamela's absence, but I would say he is taking his chance well.

I have to say I'm totally shocked, I've never knew that he had the ability to play at spurs' level. Fantastic to be proven wrong, I'm proud to say I'm a true believer.

Three things that jump out to me.....

One... That through ball to Alli was delicious. Now all those people slagging off his technical ability, have a word with yourself, the weight and angle was pure perfection, i was bloody surprised he played it but running at that speed and then having the vision to pick out Alli which in turn got us the penalty and them down to ten needs more credit. I'm really not sure many others in our team or league could have (or would have) played that pass. Well done big man. Also he played a really nice ball into Wanyama in the first half breaking into the box, the deflected cross for Alli's first..... yeah i guess everyone was right, he's just a big muscular dude who has the bal bouncing off his shins whilst he runs in a straight line.

Two... He's starting to look fit, you can see his pace, anticipation, tracking of players and when we break he is always racing forward, the engine is beginning to be fine tuned and he is definitely more understanding of how Poch wants him to play.

Finally.... confidence, you can tell he is start to believe rather than look like a deer in the headlights. I'm still shocked at the ridiculous levels of criticism this guy got after 3 or 4 cameo appearances, it was like people enjoyed his failure and wanted 'agree' 'winner' ratings just to run with the crowd. This guys wears our Spurs shirt. Glad he is starting to get some bloody respect on here.

a strong, fast, aggressive battering ram who can pick out a pass and tracks back to defend. i fucking love him. if he could dribble(talking about schurle level of dribbling, not hazard) or shoot he'd cost 40m at the very least

people who plays football knows how annoying it is to play against players like this. not the most agile but just enough to beat you, physically wise he just overpowers you in every manner. this sort of player not only imposes their impact on the game, they take away the game from their opponent as well due to their physicality.

another type of player that are fucking annoying to play against are the hazard, messi type, super fast, incredible reaction time and fucking good dribblers. your physical presence is nullified because u will never catch them. to them you are playing in slow motion

the easiest players to play against are the son/eriksen type. ok fast but not that fast, ok strong but not that strong, ok dribbler but not that good of a dribbler. be physical with them and you take away the confidence of their game. but if they have space and time they will punish you

It really is laughable how short sighted football fans have become these days. The amount of people who wanted to bin him after 5-6 appearances is staggering.

Should we have bought him? Perhaps not. But he's showing that with higher levels of fitness and confidence that he's got something to bring to the party here.
The problem he has is he will never shake off the 30 million price tag. If we had got him for 12'mill we would all be rather happy. Guess we shouldn't care how much he cost

Also, those saying he can't shoot, what a highlights reel from Newcastle days. Can certainly finish

It's football money, means less than monopoly money.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times it's said, but the 30 million is what we could end up paying if he stays for the whole duration of his contract. By that time, with the rate that prices are escalating, 30 million will probably get you a second string goalkeeper.

However many times it is said, it is still worth the rejoinder that, pace one crappy Standard article, staggered payments are commonplace and don't affect the extent to which the liability is offset by a future sale.
