Some of the posters here are just internet bullies. They cannot handle their emotion when Spurs dont win hence they need to take it out on someone. The easiest target now is Sissoko especially Lamela is not there to share the blame. Anyone that watched the game and concluded that Sissoko was the worst Spurs should jusy quit watching football because you suck at it.

Nah. . . He was shit man.

Chadli's goals and assist stats for the past 2 seasons were much better than Sissokos, and they're the same age. Yet somehow Sissoko cost £17m more

Some posters are seemingly incapable of accepting opinions that contrast with their own and rather than actually enter into a debate wish to simply denigrate those people instead.

I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories but what if DL intentionally screwed up our big money signing this summer ? Why would he do that ? So the next time Poch comes knocking on his door asking for £30m he just says "Sissoko" and Poch has to leave his office. Expensive yes but cheaper than having a £30m success that makes Poch show up asking for more quality at the same or higher prices.

It's not cheaper in the long run though is it. If a 30m signing is a success and goes up in value that's far cheaper in the long run and absolutely what Levy would want.

He's not going to waste money in that way on the off chance it saves him in the future, it would be madness. Think we all have to remember also that we probably have not paid anything close to 30m for Sissoko.

I didn't say I agreed with the logic, just posited that it could be one way that Levy may think and could explain this otherwise pretty much inexplicable transfer.

See I aagree with you for the most part, but this is a different case IMO. Like Sissoko, Lamela, Soldado and many more have come under the quick gun of cristicism from fans. The difference being talent and proven success in prior league. Lamela and Soldado proved themselves as a hit and a dud respectively. When signed they created a buzz. Sissoko?

Tell me how he is going to magically develop the traits we so desperately need? His toolbox is a hammer with no nail. The reason I have jumped on this is because the move screamed desperation.

There was plenty of time to find the player we needed. We had all year to make a list. The needs were obvious. A seasoned Winks, Banega Type and a Boufal type. Vision and directness. Why these moves where neglected, IDK, but this move made no sense.

What i would say is yes he has been poor, overall, although i can see there is a player in there and he has shown glimpses. look at how when he gets the ball under pressure and that sudden acceleration when he goes past a player, who's on top of him. Thats not something you can teach he just has it in his game. What's missing at the moment is composure around the box, that will come, but not with the crowd on his back it won't. I actually thought he was alright against City and was a good outlet.

Seeing Lineker slagging him off makes me want him to succeed even more........

You shouldn't joke about that. No doubt that Daniel Levy frequents this forum.

I'd be amazed. If they're really professional, someone would be tasked to monitor everything and produce succinct sentiment analysis. Failing that, they'd rely on what the likes of the Trust claim is the mood of the fans.

Hmmm and one played for a team that was doing really well and the other......

Yea true, because teams that are not doing well never score goals o_O

Let's look at this season:

Sissoko
445 mins - 3 game suspension

Chadli
610 mins - 4 goals 2 assists

And wba are real high fliers aren't they. .

Early days yet but I don't see Sissoko surpassing Nacer's numbers, would love to be wrong though .
