Were you the guy who said Modric was average and not as good as Steed in his first season under Ramos?

Modric was horrible in his first half of the season mind. And wasn't Steed up there for player of the year the year before?

And how's Modric doing now? Seems to me it's a bit silly writing a player off after a few months in a poorly functioning team.

That takes me back. The ol' Gibbsy days. He had a serious hatred for Modric/love for Steed. He argued everyday that Modric was crap and that Steed was twice the player. He left eventually because of it (or because he forgot to take his medication again and they sent back to the funny farm).

Spending £17 mill on quality is all well and good but we spent £17 mill on Paulinho. That's criminal.
As I showed in another thread that fee might be small in terms of how much sponsorship he brings in. Brazil sponsorship will reach £1billion this season
Rose wasn't from our academy - he was from Leeds, Leeds, Leeds.
Imo rose is a product of our youth academy as he played for out youth teams and not only that he is a totally different player to the one we signed.

He had a career ending knee injury when the season he joined and he never looked the same since. His career as a winger was over then he never seemed as quick of a winger as before he was similar to lennon in outpacing wingers. We pretty much saved his career but bug credit goes to bristol for moving him to LB as he would of been released had he not been moved back.

I think Bentaleb should be on the bench for the next few games coming on the in the second half and I would actually start him against Arsenal in the cup. He wont be scared or show them too much respect. He plays in our youth team that regularly beats their youth team and it would be a good game to introduce some young enthusiasm to the starting line up.

The first forum i was on was Vital Spurs, for about 2 months before i found this one, Gibbsy is 95% of the reason i left, he still hates Modric, doesn't rate him, has subsequently been banned and allowed back on, his latest phrase is Tiny Dancers, a bit like you won't win anything with kids. He really is a first class idiot.

It's always great when youngster break through, but I think the best for his development would be a loan move in January. Preferably when/if Sandro and Dembele are fit again.

Experience is hugely important in the holding role, and if he gets the chance to go on loan to a suited Championship club/PL club, we should go for it. Capoue, Dembele, Sandro and Paulinho are all internationals and has loads of experience. Can't see Bentaleb getting too many minutes, to be honest.

Isn't Dembele carrying an injury and Sandro is held together with cellotape? I'd do what Liverpool are doing with Sterling - give him a run until he starts to flag a bit and then rest him. The more he is round the team the better imo.

It is clear from Sundays game that Head Coach Tim needs a player to play a conservative role in MF tidying up and patrolling an area in front of the back 4

Bentaleb provided that security very well especially as it was his debut. Well done

My concern is that Pauliniho Sandro an Dembele are more high tempo players and likely commit further forward. This will need to be sorted so as to balance the inclusion ofEriksen and at least one out and out wingers

I thought he looked likes cultured Livermore ( That's not derogatory by the way)

All that's irrelevant. He's done nothing to justify his price tag, he's done nothing to warrant a starting place. He just looks average. Typical AVB signing really - big lad, puts himself about, doesn't do much else.

The stupid is strong with this one.

seems a great kid by all accounts. lets hope the fans get behind him and give him support and not rip him to shreds when he makes mistakes like they did with Townsend
