His problem is that if we buy a quality forward to go in that attacking three behind Kane, one of Lamela or Eriksen will likely take his place as the fourth option off the bench. He'll get even less opportunities than he did this year, not including the odd League Cup or FA Cup game.

I reckon now is our best possible opportunity to sell him for a decent fee. He is a decent back up but we need to improve our options if we are to challenge in the league and CL next season.

Chadli is rightly dissapointed to not be in the Belgium squad. Can easily see him looking for a move to a club who is going to give him regular football. Just not consistent enough for us, hence his bench time this season.

Tbf Chadli has had opportunities this season, but he pissed them away with laxidazical performances. Not really anyone to blame for his omission from the NT squad except himself. I LOVE the guy, but he was frustrating me no end with his performance and at times his effort

I hope we keep hold of him, but we need to abandon the idea he can play as a CF as it clearly effected his performances as at times he looked like he didn't know if he was coming or going. With a defined position, and a bit of Poch magic he can be a very good player for us

I think he was not what he used to be after the death of his dad.. That really changed him IMO.. Feel sad for him as I thought he could be a dynamic player when he first joined.. He needs to be fitter and pacier to have any added value to us when he plays.. With that, I have no doubt he will contribute goals for us given the opportunities.. Still hope he could make it to the Belgium squad with 3 of our other Belgium compatriots..

Seriously that fucking hazard is the worse deserving of the lot to be selected based on this season performance alone, just so only he's a popular player from chelscu, I bet wilmots lacks the balls to drop him..

Seems a nice guy but he is a player we could so do with upgrading. Going to be even more difficult next year and the squad needs improving.

Completely agree on Hazard but it would be a bloody bold call to drop him! Lazy entitled arrogant prick he might be, but there are about two other players in the world could score the goals he has recently!

Good player, scores goals from midfield. Seems amazing that we have improved so much that he is considered surplus, but he is.

Stay or go, good luck to him whatever way it goes.

I like Chadli, he had a chance to leave for Swansea but he decided to work hard and prove himself and he had a very solid season last year, especially game against Chelsea. This season he was supposed to cover wing and striker position and he never complained and took the challenge. Sadly though, he doesn't work hard enough defensively and he doesn't possess some crazy pace. It's probably best for his career to find a team where he will start every match, lots of teams could use someone who can score 10+ goals from a wide position.

Don't think he can really be surprised by his omission. Belgium have a plethora of attacking talent at their disposal, and he just hasn't had the game time, or overly taken the chances we he did get it.

Don't get me wrong, I like Chadli, and would keep him - but I don't really think he can be surprised at being left out.

Far too inconsistent and one of them typical players for Spurs in resent years who are outstanding one game then completely fail to show up the next one.

Just don't trust him in the starting line-up anymore, we've moved on first 11-wise and now need to replace him in squad with someone more reliable. He came back in and was good then revered to inconsistent flakey form sadly... :-(

The fella clearly has ability and has produced end product at a reasonable rate but is very frustrating, does not work hard enough without the ball and mentally does not fit the ethos of the collective.

Think he'd be the first player I'd offload from the squad.

Too much of a tendency to play it safe too. Another player I wish was more aggressive in attack - he has all the physical tools.

Have I just came into the Dembele thread ? Some of you have no clue about players.
