Probably not but something he still notices I’m sure.
I doubt it. He’s a professional journalist. He’s not sat there worrying what @BillySpurs69420 are @ing him on Twitter.

He’s got millions of followers and likely gets thousands of mentions an hour. He’s not responding to them with this kind of thing.

It’s his model of reporting his MO. He needs to constantly look like he has his finger on the pulse, that he has this stream of transfer news that people need to pay attention to his account, his blog, his videos his streams etc etc. Much like Sky Sports News, even when there’s nothing going on he needs to make it look like something is going on, even if that’s nothing.

I’m not saying he’s a fraud or doesn’t get info, but he’s done very well to build up this persona and reputation and 90% of his tweets are just him saying the same news he’s already told us.

Wouldn't be surprised if the situation with Conte started feeding into this one. It was clearly a very difficult deal to do before things started getting tense but now it seems Conte may leave then im sure our desire to fork out for him has wained somewhat. After all, im sure Poch could work wonders on Royal...

Aren't we having talks at somepoint this week?

We probably haven't even started, so no closer to trying to get to an agreement.

Safe bet from them to report and then know they will get the clicks

We're rapidly moving into 'no time for them to get a replacement in' territory, even though they allegedly have someone pretty good waiting in the wings.

How was it a difficult deal to do? It's a fairly standard release clause fee that's not exactly ridiculously high. As far as deals go I'd say this one was fairly straight forward if you are willing to pay the fee required.

Whether or not it’s true (and we have ITK that it is). This club feels like an f’in shambles at the moment and surely this isn’t great for investors and sponsors etc. Spurs are essentially a bit of a laughing stock, the longer it goes on (and it’s been waaaay too long already) the more it might dissuade further investment/players joining/ fans paying in to the coffers (less international fans taking an interest etc). They must see this? Sigh.

this guy is very gettable and we are dragging our heels, annoying an internationally proven manager and our best player (because we are annoying Conte)

Oh I think it’s absolutely ridiculous. I was being sarcastic. I meant more a difficult deal to do for Levy, Ie him being incapable of spending that much up front because it goes against every bone in his body.

Sporting state pay the release clause and he's yours to talk to. We haggle.

If we finally pay the release clause at the end of the window and get him of course I'll be happy but equally frustrated at a whole months worth of football lost where he would have improved our squad massively over Emerson!

We're not a poor club. Get him in and sell the players after. Just accept that you're going to take a hit with some losses or loan outs from deadwood that should never have been signed in the first place.

Knowing Levy if the release clause was £50mil he'd probably pay £40mil because that would be a win.

In one sentence, that is the central problem for me. Levy puts his own ego in negotiations ahead of the footballing considerations and building a team. Money before football. We are being charged a premium price for our season tickets - we have a right to expect that Levy at least does his best to provide a premium product on the pitch. Does anyone seriously believe that is the case?

Porro has been identified as a key target and the price isn't extortionate - hopefully we give on the release price and they give on staggered payments.

If Conte goes feel like this don't won't happen and we'll see Spence in the 11 basically. Probably the main reason this is all kicking off

Like, two fairly critical parts of a “buying something off someone” deal.

I don’t blame them for standing ground on the price. But it’s cheeky for them to hold out for it all up front (in my market-based opinion).
