I really like Soldado, but Sunday just made me realise even more how we need a striker like Bentekkers.

I jest, but he will at least offer something different rather than two poachers in Soldado/Defoe.

if Arsenal handled with fat Bendtner then I don't see why couldn't we do the same thing with Adebayor.

The most pointless criticism of a striker ever. Finally been proved that it is unfounded to criticise his ability and believe that Defoe should start so moves on to arguing we should have a juggling clown or fire eater up front instead of Soldado as they would interest him more.

On the other hand, you could just enjoy Soldados quality and read a book or something for entertainment? Or do you still prefer the idea of Soldado sky diving into WHL, playing and then maybe do a bit of break dancing for your entertainment at half time?

I do think he is a better bench option than Defoe.

Possibly on the basis that Defoe doesnt offer anything different.

I still think that the only thing that could possibly make us less bearable to watch right now is Adebayor sauntering around on the pitch.

I love the fact that people's solution to us being a bit slow and ploddy is to sign a striker who will make up for us being slow and ploddy, rather than just finding a way to be less slow and ploddy.

Surely improving as a team to such an extent that Soldado ends up the perfect man for us, because the only thing we need from our striker is to be lethal such is the quality of our play, is preferable to trying just to mitigate our slow ploddiness.

I like Benteke a lot, and I'd certainly not say no to him, but being a side who is so clever and incisive in their play that a powerhouse isn't necessary is far more appealing than signing a powerhouse (though, before you get on my back, I do appreciate that Benteke is much more than that and possesses a lot of guile and ability too) to make up for our midfield being pedestrian in thought and foot.

How about Defoe sauntering around on the pitch?

wonderful.

To compensate for our lack of ability to get through the opposing team by buying a battering ram just So we can pump it up to him after we have failed with 5minutes of toothless possession seems a cop out to me. Especially for a supposedly cultured tactician like AvB. We surely have the guile in our attacking players to create chances for a clinical finisher like Soldado.

The real answer is on the training pitch not the transfer market.

He'll only get better. Once we start to integrate the likes of Lamela into the team to provide more creative options I think he'll flourish and will easily bag 20 goals for us. I think Holtby was key on Sunday too and I hope he starts the next game.

I think Eriksen is probably better than Holtby at this, but both are very good and it's great to have competition for that spot.
