I think he has only started to settle in the last couple of weeks, the goals will come.

I just like intelligent footballers .

Actually I like intelligent anything (except 'design' :banghead:). 'Stupid' is waaaaay overated.
TBF I think the intelligent part of ID is meant to be funny - you know, since it´s so mind-boggingly stupid.

He's finally getting into lots of goal scoring positions. He wasn't even managing that when he first arrived as he adjusted to our playing style. But he's clearly now anticipating crosses and getting there. He will start banging them in if we keep providing. And I think having Aaron Lennon on the right and Ade alongside has helped him massively.

Awful news. I hope the club is extremely good at offering support in these circumstances.

I actually came on to say something completely different about Soldado. On many occasions this season, but most obviously on Thursday night, he has shown some real class in the way he interacts with the other players. I loved the support he gave Fredericks throughout the second half, he went out of his way to offer encouragement and advice. Apart from his clever and thoughtful play, he seems to be a clever and thoughtful man. I really hope that he settles with us and stays for several years.

What?

What have you been smoking? Ade/Soldado on a par with Aguero/Negrdo. You having a laugh?
Yes, can you imagine if one of them started scoring goals! How many games have they played together, and now they are how good? That's embarassing.

For me Soldado has been just as important for us as Ade lately, I think they fill eachother perfectly, Soldado is such a clever player on and off the ball, I've never seen him play like this for Valencia. Was he mostly stuck as a lone striker for Valencia? Looking at his stats for Valencia the most he got was 4 assist one season, he already has 4 assists this season according to whoscored.com. Really impressed with his playmaking ability.

To be fair to thinktank he wasn't saying they are at that level yet.

It isn't just the combination of Soldado and Ade that is going well, but the addition of Lennon too for me. Although we set out as a 442 we kind of turn into a unconventional 433 with lennon going more forward and Eriksen or previously Siggy dropping deeper. Ade normally collects the ball in midfield and passes to Soldado, then it seems like both Ade and Lennon make runs down the left and right to which Soldado looks for the killer pass. We utilise a front three pure pace from Ade and Lennon with Soldado's vision and comfortable presence on the ball. At least that's what we did against United and Stoke.

He is a top class player and I'm glad that we are starting to see signs of that now - once he really gets going he will be fantastic.

What's that thing about class being permanent and form temporary.
I think he's in a temporary stage at the moment.
But unlike other strikers we could name he keeps busy and contributes meanwhile.
Seems to play well with thinking players:
Eriksen; Ade; Siggy; Paulinho all link up well with him.
