A few weeks ago, I posted an analysis (on this thread, I think) showing that we had conceded 5 goals in the first 10 matches of this season (before his injury), winning 7 of them and keeping 6 clean sheets.

Then we conceded 12 goals in the 10 matches he missed (including the one where he incurred his injury), winning 1 of them and keeping 2 clean sheets.

We have played another 9 matches since then, although he hasn't played all of them. During those 9 matches, we have conceded 5 goals, won 8 matches and kept 4 clean sheets.

It's not a subtle effect, is it?

Just watching the darts ,how this for a song for Toby to the yaya ,kolo song
Toby,Toby, Toby, Toby, Toby, Toby Alderweireld!

Would prefer something to Karma Chameleon, seing as "No limit", "Achy Breaky Heart" and "Sloop John B" seems to make up 95% of all football chants these days, with "You'll never walk alone", "Oh when the Saints/Spurs" and "We know what we are" seems to make up the remaining 5%.

Surely it's gotta be "Danny Roses too"...

Toby Alderweireld's song should be nothing else but to the tune of Rockin All Over the World:

I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I L-L-L-like it, L-L-L-Like, here we gooooooooo, Super Toby Alderweireld!

Furious it hasn't caught on yet...

"We kknow what we are" is "Sloop John B". You've double counted there!

Could that have just been a precaution? Good thing is next weekend is the FA Cup and our next league game is Sunderland

On the commentary the reporter by the dugout ha reported it was a tight hamstring and he came off as a precaution. Given the amount of hard running we do in training we have very few 'muscle' injuries and I think our physios and conditioning staff have the players very well drilled.

Worried at the time but especially considering we have a 2 week break from the city game (he wouldn't have played on Saturday surely?)

He'll be fine and needs to be or we could be in trouble. Dier and Wimmer as a 2 would be a massive downgrade but add Toby in there it's happy days.

We play Sunderland on Tuesday in the league. You'd hope he's back for then.

Is it Tuesday? Of course, forgot about the midweek round. He'll be fine by then and even if he doesn't make that, you'd think we would have enough to beat them

This If there is any doubt with him he should not be risked at all.

I think there was an announcement saying he came off as a precaution? Either way as you said if its tight or threatening to go sit him out. Against Sunderland Poch and Tony could easily fill in.
