Listen to this fucking mentality man. Confidence, that even borders on delusions of grandeur.

Love it.
Great confidence. Sure, some players like Pogba, N'Dombele etc will have their own self confidence, feeling like on their day, they're the best in the league, but Bissouma is different. His application and desire to play off the ball, put a shift in and put his body on the line for his team is amazing.

The thing is, I'm not sure their will be an ideal pairing. Everyone will be competing everyone could conceivably make a claim in that position. We will be able to rotate and choose the right pairing for the right game and all the players we have can play with each other and all offer slightly different things while being tactically consistent players with what we need. Midfield will be a real strength for us next season.
Even more so if/when we have Eriksen to compliment the midfield group.

The thing with Bissouma vs. N'Dombele is that Bissouma's only going to give you 90% of the technical ability(which is still a fair fucking bit), 70% of the passing and playmaking. Tanguy is blessed with some otherworldly balance and talent, rare in the modern game.

But on the other hand, Bissouma is going to give you like 500% of the tackling, the workrate, commitment and aggression that Tanguy gave. He is a man who wants to dominate football matches and relishes duels. N'Dombele and Winks pissed themselves at those situations, Bissouma lives for them.

He is exactly what we need.

Came across @AlbionAnalytics on Twitter and had a look at his analysis of Bissouma over the years. One thing that really stood out was his occurrence of tackles and interceptions in specific areas of the pitch. in 21/22, 57% of his tackles and interceptions occurred within the width of the 18-yard box. For comparison, Romero's in the same season was 64%, which earned the plaudits from many and our subsequent interest in him.

For those interested, have a look at the Twitter handle and search Bissouma - so much praise and individual statistics to get you excited for him signing!

Not available outside of England, could anyone copy and paste it?

A video? It was only about 30 secs. An interviewer asked, "who's the best mid in the prem?" And he said himself, sans arrogance. Then He said he uses that belief as motivation to prove to everyone he is. That was it.
