I will respond on the Keane comment later.

In the meantime lets keep this on topic.

Are we all agreed apart from Lennon?

I think that the only thing that is agreed on is that you and nicdic don't have the slightest clue about the topic that you want to debate.

Lennon improved at Spurs. Lennon stayed as good but defenders found him out. Lennon decided to spend his time in clubs. Lennon didn't improve any more. So, my conclusion, Lennon has improved since being at Spurs but has now stagnated because life is too easy for him and he has no urge to be the best.

You know all this as fact, do you?

For me, Lennon is a fucking good player and we'd have to be seriously off our ****s to let him go.

Well it might as well be Greek...

100+ goals for Spurs would suggest to me that Robbie Keane HASN'T gone backwards during his time at Spurs. I can't believe he was even mentioned as part of this debate.

I just did. Looked like 3 in 13 to me. Let me guess, you’re not impressed? Neither would I be. But then again you could put up very impressive stats for Keane’s goalscoring when the team were competing in the FA Cup, Uefa Cup, Carling Cup and trying to push up the league. I could do that but then again I'm happy with Keane this season so I have nothing to answer here.

Yep, and that would be far easier but it wouldn't have made the point that they were going for. You could also pick out a 13 game run (September to November) in which Berbatov scored just twice (from memmory, please correct me if I'm wron - I'd hate to look like a total spaz in this thread). Hasn't Keano scored about 60 in the last 3 seasons, with each season an improvement on the last? Maybe that's regression for some but I'd like to see that pattern continue.

A lot was expected of Lennon since he was signed. Of course he is better than when he was at Leeds, but this season, which I believe started off with an injury to the lad but maybe that was last season, has not been what we would have hoped. With the right additions in the summer, plus hopefully a brighter start to next season as a confidence booster, I am sure he will be far more effective.

I have seen better threads locked way before they got to page 7, this is jsut a long assed way of deciding that PLP knows nothing about football/spurs. Infact I am fairly sure I pointed this out on like page 3????

What's the hold up? You had the day off work yesterday. You could have provided answers then.

I cant remember the last time I watched a game live or on tele, must be about 4/5 years ago. I tend not to watch spurs anymore, is ramon vega still playing for us?

I dont know, is he on my list?

Seriously though, can you honestly say Robbo, Lennon, Chimb and Daws havent gotten progressively worse over the last couple of seasons?

right, I am getting wound up now, your argument is flawed in so many ways i cant be arsed to explain, just read back through the 7 pages. Your points are null and void as far as anyone on this forum is concerned.

I think it was TM who said yes, your right, the whole team have got worse over the last year, last season we finished 5th this year we would be lucky to get into the top half. Debate over? I think not your having to much fun, these school holidays must be a killer when you dont have any mates huh?

As has been pointed out, this thread is not progressing into anything other than constant arguing. The thread was there to discuss certain points and the opportunity was not taken to do so.

Locked.

Backwards:

Robbo - Continuing a worrying trend with Spurs keepers. Get out.
Lennon - Seems more concerned about his status as top dog at faces than his football. Jog him on
Chimbonda - Always been a talent with a questionable attitude. Seems uninterested. See ya!
Dawson - The amount of silly mistakes made by this fella is unacceptable. Where his heart on his sleeve but ultimately not good enough.

Improvers:

Malbranque - looked pony in his first season but performed well even when Jol was doing his best to ruin us.
Jenas - controversial but his goal rate is up since leaving the goldfish bowl and mid season was awesome for a couple of months, needs consistency.
Zok - slightly less bad than he was, which was woeful.
Berbatov - Raised his profile around the world. Nice to have a world class player at Spurs.

Jury's out:

Pudd: Another one that needs to spend less time in faces. Seems to have shifted some poundage another badly flawed player but I think he deserves one more season under ramos.
TT: Get fit or get out.

Too early to Tell:

KPB (dont hold out much hope), Bale (injuries:bang:), Woody (looking good), Hutton (The huts nuts)

Not mentioned? - jog on.
I can see why you had your welcome to other sites rescinded, Park Lane.
