Does Dembele know the league? I mean PL. I agree though. I would be tempted to keep clear of Berahino (after all the mess from which neither player nor owner emerge with much credit. Give Peace a chance? Nah)

Judging by the way many teams play in the PL it won't be vastly different to what he experiences in the championship. Even Leicester are a hoof ball team. He will need to get used to seeing more parked buses at spurs than he does at Fulham however...

I hope he does. I don't want players the manager doesn't want.
OK. But if Poch's wants Beharino but not Austin he has put his reputation on the line in a massive way.
I love the guy, and he was nice to my grandson when he was a mascot, but if he is calling all the shots he had better be right.

Worst case scenario - If Kane gets injured & we don't buy a striker, I would rather play Dele Alli as striker. In the entire squad, he is the only other player who seems to show the zest to get into the box & score. He has shown time & again, he can make the run behind the defense & take the chance when given. He may not be as physical as Kane, but he is very nippy & trick past defenders. He links up well with Eriksen & Lamela. His conversion ratio should be right up there. If Pritchard gets back to full fitness, I would put him in Alli's place ,position he played so well for Brentford last season.

IMO, this is far better idea than sticking Chadli or Lamela upfront or any underdeveloped academy youngsters

Chadli scored 11 in 28 league starts last season?

Might be easy for you to write off £4m as nothing. Doesn't work like that in the real world.

Townsend is a 24 year old English winger who was in the England team not so long ago.

Prem clubs are cash rich with the TV deal next season and if the likes of Newcastle, West Brom and others are interested then £14m is not completely unlikely.

it's not a case of wanting to write off 4 mil it's more a case if he's not going to play which is a fact then why let him rot with the kids and in another year get even less than 10 mil. If Levy was offered Townsend he would probably offer around 6 mil he ceretainly wouldn't think he was a14 mil player. Sometimes you can be to clever and miss out completely and nobody wins.
The club don't want him take the 10 mil and put it towards a striker. That's good and sensible business it's not about my balls are bigger than yours.

I don't think so. Inspite of his goals last season, he still doesnt do enough. Alli gets into box when Kane is nowhere near 18 yard box.In those situation, he does enough to commit & take on players. 2 of his goals came when no other Spurs players were in vicinity. Have you see Chadli doing something all on his own inside the 18 yard box ?
