Basically a question about which players from amongst Wolves, Blackburn, and Bolton that you believe are worth adding to our team.

I like the looks of Junior Hoilett, Lee Chung Young, Matt Jarvis, and Steven Fletcher. I believe they can add value to our squad for next year without costing an arm or leg.

Thoughts?

Marvin Martin - Sochaux

Junior Hoillet - Blackburn

Giuseppe Rossi - Villarreal
Isn't Rossi a long term injury now? can't see us signing a player who won't play for at least half the season and given the nature of his injuries might not even come back as good as before

Rossi has had two major knee injuries, and won't be fully fit until the winter, if he ever gets fit again at all. It's bad enough for a defender like Ledley to have bad knees, but a Forward just won't be the same. Rossi's value is almost non-existent at this point - I wouldn't spend anything until he proves that he can a) play again, and b) actually be somewhat effective.

I'd like Fletcher as a backup to our main strikers as he does well in the box, which we have lacked, and wouldn't mean a change to formation.

Not convinced by Jarvis, did well first few games of the season but was then average more than lighting it up. Hoilett too, not convinced by him either, could turn out to be fantastic, or he could have hit his level.

If it was a case of Hoilett or no other signings for the wing then i'd take him to push Lennon.

I would sign up Hoilett and Yakubu as back up players in a heartbeat. I would be interested to see how Bogdan's development continued so maybe a sign and loan back option would be good.I think if I couldn't get Yak as a back up forward then I'd look at either Fletcher or Doyle as the 3rd choice forward.

Hoilett was one that I wouldnt have minded mid-season, but have been less impressed when I have seen him in the latter stages of the campaign and not too impressed with his workrate. Has definate potential though and can play left or right and through the centre so may be someone to take a chance on.

As for the likes of Fletcher, Yakubu and Jarvis.... no thanks.

Wrong side of 30 if you are Harry Redknapp I suppose? (I joke).

He is not even 30 yet, I checked before suggesting him.

My bad. Guess he's not a bad choice in that case. Hard to decide with Rossi as plenty of people were wary of taking a risk with Demba Ba and look what he did at West Ham and Newcastle.

Fletcher for me - scored more headers than anyone else this year (remember how crap we are from corners) and 30 premiership goals in three seasons in rubbish teams (twice relegated) is pretty damn good. With better service he could hit 20 goals in a season.
