For all the baggage and waffle that will inevitably fall out of the journo's face-holes in the next few weeks, regarding our Cup Final tie against the London Blues.

Start the ball rolling - ref's been announced, got it from Chelseas site, of all places

Chelsea site (translated from Russian) said:
The Football League has announced that our Carling Cup final date with Tottenham Hotspur on February 24 will be refereed by Mark Halsey.
Halsey, from Lancashire, refereed our Community Shield match with Manchester United back in August, as well as our trips to Middlesbrough and Fulham in this season's Premier League.
In 26 games this season, he has handed out 62 yellow cards and three red.
Halsey will be assisted by Andrew Garratt and Martin Yerby, while the fourth official will be Peter Walton of Northamptonshire.

So there you go - at least it wasn't one of our nemesii - hows this guy usually treat us? Stattos!! Get to it!

Mark Halsey is a gigantic ****.

That is all.
any reason, or did you bump into him in a bar and he dropped a really, really sweet "your mum" joke which upset you?

Taken from one of BOF's 'While we're waiting' threads from last October... :-(

Adjudication

Quite frankly we'd have more chance if The Grim Reaper himself was reffing this one. But as he's busy in Iraq and elsewhere (Woah! Bit of politics!) we have to make do with Mark Halsey. Yes, the man who followed last season's home loss to Everton with this season's home loss to Everton. And he also reffed our home defeat to Liverpool last season. True, he was there for home wins against Boro and Watford as well as the Cup win at Fulham last time, but don't let that fool you. We might as well save the coach fare.

good find, Doug & good call, BOF

Maybe Wendy can flutter her eyelids and give him a sly wink. Perhaps Halsey isn't a chubby chaser, prefers the olive skinned type

Or Clattenburg - he who made the Mendes foul-up. I keep thinking he'll give us the benefit of the doubt one game to try and make up for that injustice but he resolutely continues to give every decision to the opposition. (Or is that just the way I perceive it?)

I'll feel a lot more confident if we have Hutton and Gilberto in the squad by Friday

we'll need strength in depth to play slavia on Thurs and CFc on Sun and win thru both games
