Based on watching early training videos - Dier will need to work on his passing to get into the XI.
It's not his accuracy - its the quickness that will hold him back. A lot of training videos showing quick one-touch passing from the defenders, with no time to think.
Dier very much like to think about where he is going with the ball, and hopefully Ange will train that out of him - know where you are going before you get the ball, and move it quickly.
I wonder if he has gotten “worse” over time. I imagine the Mourinho and Conte have drilled the mantra of “no mistakes” so often that player are more afraid of making a mistake than they are of making a play. I think it can be drilled out of him, but it will take some time.Odd that he played CM with those flaws
I don't know, DM probably hides those flaws more than anywhere else on the pitch, especially if you've got good players in front and behind of you.Odd that he played CM with those flaws
Yeah, as much as I was happy with both Jose and Conte when we got them, felt very positive about it all in fact but with the benefit of hindsight, neither did any of our players any good at all.I wonder if he has gotten “worse” over time. I think Dier can definitely pass constructively, but he's definitely been coached to be slower. His mantra for 3-4 years now has to be intentionally ponderous and pass side to side to his other CBs until he and we all fall asleep. Definitely an aspect of his play that I'm sure that he can improve on given actual impetus.I wonder if he has gotten “worse” over time. Worth watching Chris Cowlin’s video for an overview, said Bissouma and Kane looked really sharpDid anyone watch the open training session earlier? I understand it's only training but how was it? Did anyone stand out and look sharp? Looking forward to the game tomorrow
The highlights looked good! Really nice crisp sharp fast passing movements and drills.Did anyone watch the open training session earlier? I understand it's only training but how was it? Did anyone stand out and look sharp? Looking forward to the game tomorrow
From the clips I’ve seen, and some of the articles about it:Did anyone watch the open training session earlier? I understand it's only training but how was it? Did anyone stand out and look sharp? Looking forward to the game tomorrow
God help us with that 5I like that Maddison N’Dombele Bissouma midfield. That is as skilful as they come, and would be very very press resistant. If there’s any midfielder that can pick up N’Dombele’s defensive slack, it’s Bissouma. But I think you’d probably need to have Royal and Ben Davies as the two inverted FBs, for more defensive solidity.
For the Aussies, you can watch the game on 10 Bold or 10 play, no need for SpursTV for this match.
It's not free on WHTV, it's £5.Am I right in thinking you need to subscribe to a whole year for 45 quid to watch the West Ham game on Spurs TV, when it's free on West Ham TV?
Apologies if this has been discussed already. Didn't have time to read the whole thread.
And you would have to sit there knowing you were watching with a bunch of muppetsIt's not free on WHTV, it's £5.
