The most encouraging thing I take from the game is that we swapped our entire team at half time but continued to play just as well, arguably better. When did we last have that kind of cover in the squad?

Without Kane and two new good CBs, we're truly fucked. It must be the upmost priority that we have this combination in our team next season.

There's easily buyers for Rodon and Japh at under £10m imo. Even a few ambitious Championship clubs could afford £6-7m. Reguilon isn't a terrible player either I fail to see how no club could afford £8-10m. Sanchez should leave if again we are realistic with the asking price at £8-10m.

I think the main problem is for these clubs is persuading the player to drop down a level and their wages.

Just got back from the game. Lo Celso the clear stand out for me. Looked dangerous every time he had it and caused their midfield havoc. Udogie another that looked impressive. Also didn’t realise he’s an absolute unit of a man!! As for the negatives - Reggy was poor, like really poor and aside from Romero we looked shaky at the back centrally (no surprises there). A lot to work on, but signs are there for how Ange wants to play
Agree with all that.

Difficult to assess in that they just sat back.

If Gio would show up with that attitude he’d make a huge difference- not sure he will though.

Decent evening though, furthest away from home I’ve ever seen us play live- after Ulsan😊

I'd also add:

- Keep Kane

It's one thing creating so many attacking chances but if they're getting routinely fluffed then our other frailties will be more costly.
I know this is likely an unpopular opinion, I know Richy missed/ fluffed a fair bit, but his runs look ideal for an ange system.
If only we could get Kane dropping back less because madison, soloman, Kulu, etc would find him.

For those that didn't see the game or if you did, want a further look at the new boys. Was quietly impressed by Solomon.

Disappointing to see us lose to 4 shot west ham, but it highlighted the issue everyone knows which is defensively we are dog dirt.

Worryingly I would also add Romero into that description. Love his on the front foot defending but not sure aerially or positionally he is quite there at the moment. We need 2 centre backs brought in. Clear as day today that is what's required as we cannot trust any of the centre backs.

Full back wise, I thought Porro was poor defensively and outshined by Royal and I think that Reguilion was awful and Udogie looked bright.

Lots of highlights though for me. Solomon looked lively, Bissouma was in control and Skipp played well in a more advanced role. Second half I thought that Udogie was excellent, Sarr is going to be around the first 11 and Devine was very composed.

Ange's style of football may take a bit of time, but with a couple of additions I do think we will be well equipped for it and will surprise a few people.

I like Richy's intent, but my god, he must have gone offside at least 6 times.

Really don’t understand how people expect 2 new centre backs to come in, and hit the ground running in the Premier league. ( without a pre season)
They, if they come will need to be phased in gradually otherwise they will be no better than what we have. It’s a tough League.
Please stop with the Ange's style of football ffs.

Don't need 2 of them to do that.

Just one. Romero will be starting
