It's worth remembering that officially pre season doesn't start until tomorrow for the non internationals. The players going in yesterday are going in early presumably to try and make an impression.

They're also sitting on those bikes for ages at a time doing non-arduous but repetitive training and there's only a handful of them there. It's not outrageous that they've got their phones with them, it's certainly not something we normally see in training videos during the season.

I mean, him getting out the car isn’t really the reason why he’s getting talked about on here (or predictably) pestered on Twitter now is it? We all know the reason why, four years of him acting like he’s doing us a favour being employed by the club. People are fed up with it and just want to see the back of him.

On a different note, in the gym the players seem to have their phones with them. They should be left in their lockers shouldnt they?
Quite possibly they could be using them to track their workout. That’s how I log everything at the gym, I assume it’s something long those lines.

Edit: I’ve just seen you mentioned this….

The hatred towards Tanguy on social media is bordering on bullying. He got out of a car and is getting abuse for it.
I get that and I'm not normally one for leaping to quick judgements but given his previous form, it's easy to see why people are quick to jump on him.

I got stranded in London with my 9 year old daughter last night and we didn't get in til dawn. I stumbled across to the local shop earlier with more vigor than Tanguy could muster and as far as I know, I wasn't being filmed and therefore obviously judged.
Nor was I trying to impress my new boss and colleagues who possibly already have a negative view of me.

I think it's going beyond him just being a laid-back character now, he just seems to lack any form of motivation (and that's not just based on the recent clip).

Regullion, bentancur I saw with them. I guess they maybe have their plan for the day on them or something like that. Could well be the reason actually.
Most efficient way of gwtting information to people these days, They’ll probably also be getting ‘the boss is ready for you now’ messages when Ange wants a 1-2-1. I tell my lot to keep their phone to hand if I’m not sure when I’ll be free to meet.

But my problem is people adding to the lazy narrative because of how he supposedly walked and what he wore. I get the history and I get he seemed lazy with us prior to his loan. I haven't disputed that have I? I have even said I want him gone. But I'm not using a few seconds of him walking from a car to a building as a way to call him lazy. Everyone walks differently at different paces. Well done you managed to walk to a shop at a good pace with nobody watching your every movement analysing it. Good for you! I got in from London at 1am and can barely walk today. Am I lazy?

I just think this clip is not something to abuse someone over. Actually I don't think people should be abusing him whatsoever. Saw it with Emerson. Saw it Sanchez. Seeing it with Dier. Seeing it with Levy.

We have parts of our fanbase who love to abuse people within our club who they want gone from the club. Wanting someone to leave the club and abusing them are two very different things. I want certain people gone, but I am not going to call them fat, dwarf, lazy etc. It's school ground behaviour.

You think stuff like this is okay?

Hugo looked just as miserable. But nobody cares about that. Nah just focus on Tanguy because of how he was over a year ago. Everybody seemed miserable under those managers. Not saying he will suddenly turn it around, but I am not going to abuse the man either.

Anyway enough on this. I am excited for the upcoming season under Ange and that's with or without certain players.

I have never defended or excused the abuse given by some quarters to our players, so you can stop the idea that I'm defending it.
I don't do twitter for exactly the reasons you highlight, it's full of abusive, attention seeking wankers.

All I was saying that it was easy to see how some people can watch that clip and come to the conclusion that he'll still be the same as he ever was.

It's not about abuse, nor is it about a narrative.
Maybe it's about that the only.person who can change people's perception of him, is himself and that tiny little clip doesn't purvey the message that he's all about change at all.

As a complete aside, where were you in London that you managed to get back down our way by 1am?
It was a fucking nightmare last night on the trains. We were dumped at Blackfriars and then basically told that we had to make it home ourselves.
My ex managed to somehow get to Gatwick (from Victoria) and had to get a cab from there but many people I know didn't get home til the very early hours.
It was a total fuck up on the rail network last night.

To me he looked like someone walking to the head master's office for a rendezvous with the cane. If I were going somewhere I had no friends, thought people probably didn't like me and wanted me gone, I'd walk like that with my hood up and glasses on. He's got no reason to look forward to turning up or to be excited (and no need to mention the money he's on - that doesn't make a shitty job feel fun).
Some people use that feeling for motivation. Some get crushed by it. Some might not even care... From what I hear of Ange, he'll only keep him if he was in the first camp - so it's not going to be a long relationship, if we are right about him. I'm certainly not going to get worked up about it. I'm very interested to watch how it turns out, though.

Unsurprised to see so many digs at Tanguy already. Let’s just let the lad get back ffs.

Does anyone have a summary of the squad to post in here. I’m sure with youth promotions, players returning, etc it will be substantive and hard for us to keep in mind everyone we have.

I guess the other thing to point out is the last time he was at Spurs he had Sissoko and Aurier there with him. Now I'm not sure if there is anyone he's close to

Cracking photo on the official site of Ndombele lunging for the ball and looking like he’s putting lots of effort in!

I wonder if he’ll get as many positive comments as he got negatives yesterday, simply for walking from a car!

I’m frustrated with how he has performed in a Spurs shirt up until now but the reaction yesterday was over the top in my opinion.

Having read all of the hate I just watched the Ndombele car vid and...it's just a bloke getting out of a car in a laid back fashion. If it was Bissouma or Porro no-one would've given two fucks.

Like, hate the guy all you want for his laziness on the pitch, but the overreaction to man-getting-out-of-car is just plain weird.

If big Ange can get a tune out of Ndombele imagine what an impact he could have coming on for the last 25-30 minutes to replace Maddison. Without out having to be so defensive he could be a pivotal player late on.

Going by last seasons pre season tour the squad was announced on 9th July with first game on 13th if the same pattern is followed then squad should be announced by 14th as first match v WHU on 18th . Gives Ange a full 2 weeks to decide who he wants on the plane.

Who really gives a fuck about it all...

Just wait and see how he goes in pre season and what the big man thinks of him...

Won't take long before coming obvious....
