Heading to the Mk dons XI game tonight.

Anyone got any idea who could be playing?
Went to the MK dons friendly 2 years ago and Defoe, Pav, Corluka, Kranjcar all played. This time not expecting many, if any, first team players but very optimistically hoping to see maybe a bit of Kaboul, Sandro or Holtby. Is it even hopeful to be expecting Kane, Carroll to play?

You'd think Kane etc will play as they need game time.
Although, from what i understand it's a MK Dons XI as well, not their best guys.
So perhaps we come with a very young team for a balanced game?
Just my silly thoughts though, haven't heard anything.

They are only taking part in their first training session since being back today.

I am a bit disappointed to see Carroll and Townsend there. Was hoping that they have made the move up to the first team. Maybe due to short numbers with a few out on loan?

Few defenders, think Livermore might play centre back.
Agree with Carroll and Townsend, but they need game time,
and i think it's more an issue of the big first team squad than lacking players for XI.
We haven't managed to offload Huddlestone, Parker (Livermore) etc.
leaving too many players needing game time in very few games lined up before the season kick off.
Makes sense then to let the oldest be involved with the first team, while the youngest play with the development squad.
Young players will never break through in a team that fills its squad with too many mediocre but experienced players in same positions.

I went to the game and we were quite honestly terrible! The defenders were awful in particular and the left back (ward) put in one of the worst performances I've ever seen.
Only positives were ceballos was technically very good, mcevoy a threat when he came on and Lancaster was very strong on the ball.
I'm his biggest fan but Tom Carroll made me look stupid for bugging him up per match, he was so bad. Hollywood passes all game with 20 percent ish accuracy. Townsend was so greedy as well and clearly didnt wanna be there. I'm very disappointed and am quite positive when it comes to the youngsters.

Not the best game from our youngsters. Couple of highlights was Ceballos and Townsend but he was greedy, although to be fair, he's a class above this bunch of players and should be more involved with the firs team. Also thought both our keepers did well, were quick off their line. Don't think anyone else stood out and thought Tom Carroll was very poor

Mcevoy looked lively when he came on but only gotabout 15 minutes I think
