Can Villa get anything today?

Hopefully, but I find myself getting to the point where I don't care what others do as we aren't performing. When we were good I used to look out for others to see who "dropped points" on us but now I'm just worried about us really.

That said I don't want West Ham getting too confident so a good demoralising home defeat would certainly be something to savour.

I hate it when we are relying on others to flop to get up the table but I always like to explore the permutations! I hate West Ham but they should not be troubled by Villa today. .
But we are on a roll (3 wins in a row) and if Swansea can win tomorrow we are joint 5th unless Chelsea lose.
The next round features some very interesting fixtures

Possible top 4 after those or if we win our 2 and Arsenal get 2 draws we go above them.

I will be interested to see how Johnson plays today. Can see him having either a stormer or a stinker against his old club after the England snub.

Think Southampton and West Ham will continue their fine form today and I expect Utd to win at home to Palace too - will pile pressure on us to win tomorrow or face starting to look a little adrift in midtable (shows how important that last minute Kane strike was at Villa park really)

Absolutely.
But I only look at West Ham's results because I want them to lose-they are 100% not our rivals.
Southampton will not be in the top 4 by the end of December. I don't even rate them-I didn't think they looked good when they played us. Chadli scores before HT would have made an interesting 2nd half.

Schurrle can't make the bench today? he's been subbed early in the last few games but quite a fall for a World Cup winner.

I'm incline to agree with him

We should really want a Chelsea victory over Liverpool right now as we've no chance of competing with Chelsea but Liverpool may well be direct rivals to us in the league this season

I want Chelsea to beat them too

Chelsea show you what a difference it makes to your attacks when you have properly functioning fullbacks in a 4231.

It's everything.
