Premier games 8th and 9th November

No one would have predicted it - especially Southampton

They were written off as relegation certainities after the fire sale they had this summer

I doubt any of them will stay in their current positions but be fair none of them are really in a false position as such - they all deserve their lofty placing based on their early season form

What worries me is they are 3 more teams that realistically have a chance of pushing us further down the table.

I fully expect Chelsea, City, and Arsenal (out of habit) to get 3 of the CL spaces, but it could be a really interesting scramble for the fourth. I'd say Liverpool, Everton, United and Southampton all have a genuine chance of finishing there.

At this stage I am genuinely concerned we will get dragged into a relegation dog fight if we don't pick up our form soon

We deserved to lose to Villa and would have done had Benteke not been sent off in my opinion

Had we lost that game we'd be 16th right now and only 2 points off the drop zone places (four points off bottom)

We look leaky at the back and are toothless in attack

Hull away, Everton home and Chelsea away really doesn't inspire me - we could easily lose all three and be right in the relegation mix unless we really fix up quick

Just seen Sigurdsson's goal. Wow.. just wow. You get the feeling with the current bunch we have that it was almost worth building a team around him.

I don't want to support Spurs anymore.. is there such a thing as supporting just one player??

I don't like to dwell on ifs and buts BUT it feels strangely worse that all our rivals from recent years are struggling too.. it seems every time we have a chance to make significant headway we blow it for our lack of direction and stability.
