I think one of the best parts of the day was Arsenal winning big - just really drives home how much they bottled their chance at Newcastle.
Exactly. They don’t have the mentality to take it for themselves. Their cup final was last Monday and they didn’t show up.

Pleased to see City win. I feel nothing about them, but there’s something about Liverpool and Klopp that really grinds my gears.

City winning means absolutely nothing. It’s an automatic asterisk. No one gives a fuck. Literally anyone else winning the title actually means something to football fans, so I’m glad Liverpool didn’t win it.

Understand the sentiment but the problem is Oil Slavers don’t give a fuck about the asterisk and they just keep oil slaving. Haaland to City, Mbappe at PSG…

At what point do they became a cancer that can’t be cut out? If we haven’t passed that point already?

I just feel so sorry for those poor Liverpool fans. To lose the league in that manner is terrible. To come so close - for City to actually be 2 down with 20 minutes to play and for the trophy to be in touching distance, only to be cruelly ripped away, rendering it impossible for gloating scouse-supporting brother-in-laws to message, saying how great they are - is truly awful, and not at all hilariously brilliant. For the sanity of those wonderful fans, the eternal victims of injustice, I just hope they don’t suffer a similar dreadful, and in no way comically fantastic, defeat in the champions league final. That might just be too much for them to bear.

My Liverpool supporting mate actually said the words

"It's hard being a Liverpool fan right now, I'm so upset".

I think we are beyond that point already. The one hope I have is that sustained success is so hard to keep up. Look at United and Arsenal. Back in the early 00s I’d have never have dreamt that they’d both fall so far. It only takes a slip, and all of a sudden clubs can find themselves well off the pace. The Premier League is massively competitive, there are so many big clubs that any weakness will see you fall behind.

The ESL should have been allowed to go ahead.

Villa’s keeper whacked by a fan during the pitch invasion. If we’re not careful and people don’t stop behaving like ****s we could end up going back years. Even the return of fences.

That may sound hyperbolic, but it’s not beyond the realms of possibility.
It's not just football... everywhere it's like people have forgotten the last 50 years, or have no clue, and society is regressing back to ****ism.

Funny how Sky seem to be portraying Son as winning a 'share' of the Golden Boot but I dont hear Salah having won a 'Share.'

Yeah, it’s not good.

There is also a link between social problems ( particularly less prosperous economic times) and social unrest and ****ish behaviour.

Certainly not an excuse though and I also believe the UK’s obsession with alcohol is a big factor, but we’re probably straying into off topic areas here.
