I find a lot of comfort in Liverpool looking so out of sorts.

I think their decline is far more important for our season in the long run.

Yeah I mean, objectively speaking this is a good result for us. It puts Liverpool a long way back in the rear view mirror. They look like getting worse rather than better. With them out of it we only need to finish above united to get top 4.

We don't need to worry about the Gooners winning the league, City have that sewn up. We are in a fight for top 4 and Liverpool being shite is a bonus for us. Gooners will drop off the top soon enough.
Yep, and frankly as long as we finish inside the top four and City win the league it's neither here nor there for me whether Arse are above or below us. Nobody ever remembers who came second.

Sadly, most of Arsenal's squad get a rest during the WC. Only Saka, Partey and Xhaka participating from their normal 11. That's pretty big for them.

Yeah they played well in patches, but I’m sure their fist goal was offside, a blatant penalty for Liverpool not given and then a very dubious penalty given for them. Makes me sick
was wondering why we never saw the VAR lines on the first goal. Sakas foot did look offside?

Jesus 100% goes. As does Ramsdale although GK don’t really need rest. Martinelli and Saliba probably go too. White and Gabriel have a chance.

Apart from Citeh I don’t see another stand out team, anyone could beat anyone on the day and the league feels like the championship at the moment.
Yes, Arsenal have got off to a flier but they won’t maintain it, they’ve beaten a below par Tottenham and Liverpool at home but let’s see where they are in January….

After the World Cup teams will have to find their grove again, won’t be easy for any team to pick up where they left off

They haven't even finished in CL or above us in donkeys years and spurs fans making out they're peak Barca. But embarrassing really. 4 points ahead of us less than a quarter of the way into the season and they're being handed top two ?

Arsenal are playing well, no doubt. But they are surpassing Leicester 2015/16 levels of jammyness. It can't last a whole season again, can it? :nailbiting:
Compare the clubs performances though. I would say the the spurs' results to wins are far less sustainable.

I've talked myself into thinking this was actually a great result for us. Basically secured us top 4. Cheers goonies. My only regret is that a massive sinkhole didn't open up beneath the Effeminates, consuming the stadium and everyone in it, causing one of the single greatest tragedies in the history of sport. Hopefully next time

Iwobi has completely reinvented himself as an 8, looks a so much better player now.
