Well I thought we were really good today. Really disappointing result, but we played much better.

Certainly can’t have a good season playing badly and relying on grinding out results, so it makes me more optimistic for the city game and the rest of the season.

Can’t be arsed to check but how many games have we won by more than 1goal this season? It seems like we’re forever holding on to a one goal lead like the AVB days.

Ref was a awful but don't let detract from that substandard performance tonight. We were awful, truly awful and there are no excuses for that tonight.

Doesn’t match up with the game I saw I'm afraid.

Total domination but stupid mistakes.

If it was a one off your positive spin might add up - it happens time and time again.
Too much pointless passing which often leads to bringing on pressure at the back/mistakes rather than attacking clearly weaker teams.
Man City would of just kept taking this team apart and run out easy winners.
It's all about mentality, unfortunately our players AND manager seem not to have enough of it.
We've managed to fuck up multiple matches from winning positions in spectacular fashion this season, but each case has to be judged on its own merits.

We were not knocking the ball around aimlessly simply to kill time tonight, we were cautiously probing and could have easily scored a third on a few occasions before they ever drew level. I don't think our approach was the issue so much as the captain fucking us over by rushing out to try to sweep the ball off an attacker 25 yards from goal with two defenders back.

Three I think Utd, Fulham and Huddersfield

We weren’t awful at all, just made a couple of awful mistakes and awfully wasteful

You have to be able to put teams like that away! Especially at Champions League level. If you are in control of the game the way we were and end up drawing, I'm sorry Bro but that is awful. Its not good enough. Having all the possession and more shots on target but not winning the game, then those stats are just vanity.

What the fuck has happened to Son? Why bring Lucas off when he was causing them loads of problems where as Son did sweet FA all game.

I’m sorry but if we can’t find a better left back in the whole of world football than Ben Davies then we might aswell just give up now.

Over in the Son thread plenty think he's a £70m player. Oh my.

Poor yet again tonight.

Zero tempo to our play until it went 2-2, too much backwards and sideways shit (AGAIN) putting ourselves under unnecessary pressure, poor decision making / execution in the final third, poor subs (why bring off Moura when Son was having a shocker?).

We’ve been clinging on to win matches recently but we’re just not good enough to keep doing it. As soon as it went 2-2 and we went for it we looked dangerous.

So frustrating

I'm nervous for the City game. Could be embarrassing!

Given recent performances and how our players are going this season, if City don’t win 4-0 they’ll be the more embarrassed. Different level entirely. We are light years away from them, a draw would be a great result.

That one season where we used to blitz teams was the best thing I can remember about supporting spurs, actually being able to enjoy games with 25 minutes to go. I would say it’s probably less energy consuming doing things that way than scraping a lead and then trying to hang on for 25 minutes.

Probing?? How many times does a throw in deep in the other teams half end up with dozens of backwards/sideways passes and then back to our keeper who lumps it aimlessly upfield and losing possession.

I watch us and genuinely have no idea what our tactics are and what opposition weaknesses we are trying to exploit.
