PSV lost too

PSV had a bad result today. I must confess i dont know much about the dutch league but Utrecht aren't the most well-known dutch side so i'm guessing that a 3-1 defeat against them is considered a bad day at the office.

Does anyone know if PSV were resting players ahead of Thursday or did they just screw up?

They had their full possible team out. But Utrecht at home are a good team. If they had one eye on Thursday like us they could easily have been turned over.

Don't underestimate PSV. They are a formidable unit with enough flair in Afellay and Farfan to cause serious damage!!!

I'm not under-estimating them but its encouraging to see them ship 3 goals away to Utrecht. I'd imagine that Berba and Keano are a better front pairing than what Utrecht have to offer.

thats pretty good form, but that last win does look like it was against a low league position team.. will certainly pull down their confidence. and their next game is Ajax at home that Sunday, 3 days later. all to our advantage! :grin:

There is no doubt that they have impressive form, but i think we are a little bit above them overall!

To be honest, the Dutch league isn't looking that strong at the moment, anyway. Didn't Slavia beat Ajax away from home earlier this season to get in to the CL?

If we play the way we played against Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U in the last few matches, the only thing that could cause us problems is luck. The defence is a bit of a concern, though. The centre-back pairing on Saturday were atrocious. I assume Woody will still be out come Thursday. What news on Ledley?
