There is little morality in modern football. As far as FIFA are concerned Qatar's money is more important than human rights, playing conditions, etc. The sponsors aren't going to boycott the tournament (I think FIFA's already negotiated with the Qatar government to relax alcohol laws during the World Cup in order to keep Budweiser happy) simply because the fans aren't going to boycott it. Millions will go to Qatar and billions will watch on TV. The Qatar World Cup shouldn't happen but it will.
No they wont!

No they wont!

The last two World Cups had a total attendance of over 3 million and that's not including attendances at the fan parks. The Qatar government is expecting 3.5 million to attend the tournament. A total attendance for the World Cup hasn't been below 2 million since 1978.

I'm not sure you know. One on hand, FIFA wont want to publicly admit to wrongdoing, but, I think they're all aware (certainly now if they weren't before) that the world cup just wont work there and this whole thing could give them a chance to get out of it and fix the problem

A summer World Cup wouldn't work but a winter one would. UEFA has already said it's open to a winter World Cup, the only organisations coming out and attacking the idea is the Premier League and the Bundesliga (the La Liga chief has backed a January World Cup). If FIFA stick to their guns and insist upon a winter World Cup the Premier League and Bundesliga would have to back down eventually as they won't want to make their league's superstar players (and especially players in their own national team) choose between a World Cup and the league season.

This investigation would allow FIFA to back out of the Qatar World Cup but that would mean FIFA executives being thrown under the bus and Blatter's not going to do that unless they are a threat to him (e.g. Bin Hammam). FIFA's executives have too much to lose to admit wrongdoing in awarding the World Cup to Qatar.

If FIFA admits the bidding process was corrupt organisations like the FA who really hate FIFA are going to attack and insist upon reforms which of course FIFA executives won't want as they like the bribery culture in the organisation. The only way I can see positive change in FIFA coming about is if the big European FA's band together and insist upon reforms.

People need to start boycotting sponsors as that's what will really hurt FIFA.

I agree it's the best way to hurt FIFA but I doubt it could be pulled off. If 3.5 million people attend the Qatar World Cup they won't have much choice but to use FIFA's sponsors as the likes of Budweiser and McDonalds will be the only products available within stadiums and fan parks. Also, how many people in the UK are going to boycott McDonalds? We're the 28th fattest country in the world for a reason.

I won't give you a "disagree" mark but I do so very much. Blatter is the worst of the worst but he's not known as "Mr Teflon" for nothing.
Sounds a bit like Cyprus and Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest!
If you could find me one allegation than fair enough but Platini met the prince of Qatar and with the french president agreed a vote for Qatar would be great for France with PSG buying the presidents favourite club, hiring platini's son and making their new sports network based in France with a new TV deal for french clubs.

So again please tell me how blatter is worse than Michel

How do you stop other people all over the world stop buying their products?

A twitter/internet campaign but other than that, I cant see it happening

would have to be a campaign to try and get people to stop. Would be very difficult to get done, and i dont think i have seen something like this work yet

Exactly, its easy saying dont buy their but they dont care if some numpty who doesnt like fifa doesnt buy their products.

Also these products are everywhere like fast food places, clubs, bars and etc.

Its going to take hate campaign directed at certain sponsors for it to work like this but with fifa related deaths and it will need a face like someone died for people to take notice like trayvon martin and other cases

Not only does the main stadium they're going to use for the first game and the final not exist, THE CITY IT'S GOING TO BE IN DOESN'T EXIST EITHER.

Fuck it, let's host World Cups in more hypothetical places. #Mordor2026 #Narnia2030 #Vulcan2034
Some of the technologies they are using to cool players down don't exist either :ROFLMAO:

Unless you are living in an alternate universe I think you will find that Vulcan is no longer in existence.

This could ruin FIFA. I doubt it but it could.

If they re run the vote and Australia gets it, who are due and it would greatly energise a part of the globe to get serious about football (blatter dream) (( worked well in SA......))although personally I feel its too big an area for a wc. Much like Brazil and Marika. But that's an aside. Then Quataris would sue. Their lawyers would dig up all sorts of dodgy shit about Russia and other winners before and sue for losses over the binding contracts they signed with companies over building infrastructure. A lot of those companies are French and German owned. They wold also sue FIFA.

Were talking billions.

What might happen is FIFA might have to go bust.

I doubt it. They are pretty much untouchable.

At least the Indian caste system has one relevant meaning.

Every cloud.
