Im so fucking depressed right now that the Rangers lost the stanley cup to a team with 100% bandwagon fans. So i might be a bit too drunk and irrational, fyi.

Anyway, i hope they move the WC sooner rather than later so more people dont die while working on the stadiums.

And yes, it took 12 minutes to see if i was actually spelling correctly here. Im hammered so dont judge me.

Because we have the best infrastructure already in place with large stadiums, hotels, transit, etc. Most countries it takes years to build and plan for such an event. U.S. could pull it off with a few months notice if needed.

We are also the melting pot of the world with large migrant populations from every country in the World

Thank fuck for the USA - only they could pull this tournament off with 8 years notice.

They had it in fucking 1994 ffs - joke. Without a shadow of a doubt its got to go to Australia - how is this even up for debate? If FIFA are all about rotating continents then why turn down one thats never hosted it before?

I'd argue that Russia is more Asia than it is Europe imo.
BUT Russia unlike Australia qualifies through Europe whilst Australia qualifies through the AFC
Their is a massive anti american stigma throughout European football. Leagues, clubs and fans. There really is no denying that.

For example, if Aguedelo was anything other than American, he'd currently be a Stoke player.
I don't think there is.

As for Aguedelo there have plenty of stoke players that never got a chance like Muniesa whereas Cameron is American and plays week in week out for them

Without a shadow of a doubt, the games should go to CONCACAF. Considering they went to the AFC in 02. Only CONCACAF bid = the land of the free and home of the brave, the United States of America, which just so happens to be the place best equipped to handle an event of this magnitude w/o having to undertake multiple massive construction projects. Except FedEx Field, that place is a piece of shit. State of the art, my foot. Clean it up, DC.

England refused to grant a work permit to him, 3 times. The PL didnt even fight for it on Stokes behalf. Even after he was in Holland for 6 months. If it was a south american player or european or asian player, he'd be at stoke. But he's American, so he's not. Has nothing to do with Cameron. Has to do with the anti american bias of Europe.

He didn't get a work permit because he didn't fulfill the the requirements based on whether the player has played 75 per cent of his nation’s competitive games – excluding friendlies – in the two years prior to the date of application and be in the top 70 of FIFA rankings. Failure to meet any of the above results in an automatic failure.

You can appeal that decision. An appeals panel will ultimately weigh up whether or not the player is, in their view, of the highest calibre and whether they would contribute significantly to the development of the game at the top level in the country.

Oh and just a note, European players wouldn't need a work permit if they come for a club within the EEA.

His failing to get a work permit had nothing to do with any fictional anti-america bias you have concocted in your head and everything to do with the player not meeting the requirements to be given a work permit.

Edit: I checked and Stoke only applied twice for a WP for the player not the 3 times you mention.

Yea but there have been countless times of people having work permits refused
Diego(Atletico Madrid and Brazil) - got a work permit refused to sign for us
Henrique - got work permit refused for QPR got 9 goals in 16 games for Brazil U20's
Nashat Akram - WP refused for Iraq not being in the top 70 fifa rankings(one of the criteria), they were 71
Wellington Silva and Joel Campbell both went out on loan to Spain after not getting a work permit despite Joel Campbell doing well for national team
and the list goes on

Work permits are based on two things international appearances or proving him being an exceptional talent

He didnt get a work permit because he only played 3 international games in the last 3 years. I don't agree with the criteria but its not anti american.

To say the rest of europe is anti american is stupid since they are willing to take on american players like Adu, Agudelo, Bradley and etc.

Aguedelo was denied the permit because europeans think americans are not as good at football as them no matter who the American is.

Same thing with coaching opportunities. Bob Bradley has to settle for a job in Norway when he coached 2 national teams and a club, yet Tactics Tim walks into 2 PL jobs that he has no business being in? Fuck out of here with that shit.

Even Jurgen sees the anti american stigma in football and hes European. He comes from that thinking. He doesnt just say it since hes the USMNT coach. If theres one thing Jurgen does, its always tell it like it is. No bullshit.

As I said above Joel Campbell who played in the CL and scored against Man Utd and will play England in a week but he got refused and may hurt england.

The same goes for Henrique who had a better record than Aguedelo and is Brazilian and got a work permit refused

I'm not against the idea of Australia hosting the world cup but it's location keeps changing depending upon the situation.

Whenever there's talk of Asia hosting a Grand Slam(Tennis) they are rebuffed saying Australia has one so therefore Asia does. Also their national team qualify via the Asian group too so if we go by the rotating policy then Asia got its last world cup in 2002 so therefore Australia did too.

If I remember correctly (I was eight or nime at the time of the tournament) Australia wasn't part of the AFC at the time, and their WC qualifications were with the likes of American Samoa in the Oceania Football Confederation (When they beat them 31-0).

They only joined AFC after, and played in their first Asia Cup in 2006 when they were knocked out by eventual winners Iraq.
