I think they were referring to geographical continents. Of course then we can debate about what a continent is. For that we can refer to CGP Grey. Is Australia a continent or is it king of the islands? Are Europe and Asia separate continents?

That was very informative but the original point was that if Qatar are stripped of it, Oceania should have it since they never had it before whereas North America had it in 1994, 1970 and 1986.

However Australia according to FIFA is in the Asia Federation who have had it in 2002 sharing it between two countries.

Now if you want to give it to a new continent according to FIFA then it should go to either Tahiti, New Zealand or Samoa

I was in Eygpt last week and it reached 50F on two days, I couldn't even get off the sun bed let alone play football, even the locals were hiding in the shade and moaning it was too hot. I just can't see how any sane person would vote or even suggest you ask hundreds of players to spend up to 5 weeks in those conditions without damaging their health.

I was drinking 4 litres of water a day plus other fluids and still my piss looked like lemon curd. Just insane completley insane.

We were given a womens world cup in either 98 or 03, cant remember. But that was 6 months before the tournament took place. And it went off flawlessly, btw.

I think alot of people just dont want it to be in the US because of an anti american sentiment that runs all throughout European football. So they ignore that the US is probably the best place for it to be wrt stadia, hotels, ticketing, security, transportation, funding, etc.

Totally agree - i think that to show that there is still some integrity left in the sports governing bodies, those you named are almost obliged to do something to protest, else they all come off as whiney pussies who aren't prepared to put their money where their mouth is.

We can all talk about FIFA being more corrupt than a floppy disk that's been at the bottom of a fish tank since the early 90's, but unless someone is prepared to actually do something then it's pointless posturing.

What the fuck has that got to do with it? They are the least equipped country to handle it, horrible climate. Their evaluation was absolutely horrible. The region is the most fragile region in the world with a ton of violence. Now, multiple people are dying each day trying to build these stadiums.
