Honestly I'm not gonna bother giving Arse's last two fixtures any of my attention. The only fixture i care about nowadays is us against Sunderland next week. If we win next week we finish the season with 72 points, and considering all the personnel changes this season, I would consider this an amazing season , CL or no CL. If Arse still get CL with us finishing with 72 points then so be it , all i know is I'm very optimistic for next season. :)

You should post more.

But it could get to a situation where it's 1 - 1 with with 5 mins to go and Wigan will just have to go for it because a draw is no good to them.

But a draw is no good for Arsenal either - they have to go for it too. It's going to be very open by necessity.

I do think Wigan are a better team actually when just simply going out to win a football match rather than playing for a draw or thinking too much about whether to stick or twist between a draw and win etc. This is when they can come unstuck. Keep the faith!

I choose to look at it like this:

We've only got one chance to fuck up.

Arsenal have two chances to fuck up.

And let's face it, we're two clubs who are very capable of fucking up.

Honestly I'll probably just check the score , just because I kind of like Wigan, and it'd be a shame for them to go down this season, but i'm not fussed anymore about Arse anymore. It just isn't worth the stress or hassle anymore. You should follow my lead, or you'll probably get sucked into the whirlpool of cooperative misery here on SC , if we don't finish above Arse.

We've scored beyond 80 mins in our last seven games. We've fought hard for this.

If you were an Arsenal fan you'd be thinking we were destined to be there at the end the way things are going. Goals at the right times, never giving up, etc. what a week to go!

Na I don't buy into the misery aspect but that game is of vital importance to us if Arsenal drop points so I'll be watching it supporting Wigan like they were Spurs

That bbc predictor thingy is quite useful.

If Wigan beat the Arse by 14 goals, then a draw will be enough against mackems. Easy! (y)

If we finish with 72 points and in 5th and someone comes out and says "well why aren't they firing AVB when he didn't get 4th?" I'm going to go mental.

Also if you assume we win, then one of Arsenal's fuck ups just has tobe a draw. Very possible.

Not helped by Newcastle having their keeper sent off today - isn't he their second choice already due to Krul's injury meaning Arsenal will face a third choice keeper on final day

So, I guess a draw would be more than OK on Tuesday. Fourth in our hands against a safe Sunderland.

Sadly we have to sacrifice a nice club like Wigan but the needs of the mighty Spurs take precedence in these situations.
