Was thinking exactly the same thing earlier. So much industry and let's be honest their top 3 works so well together. Their issue is with a little string puller when teams drop deep. I know he isn't in the same class but could a cameo from Shaqiri with 20 minutes left be their trump card? Time will tell
Oh come on.

It will be absolutely beautiful when we finish the season ahead of Liverpool again despite AGAIN us being told that Liverpool are the best team in England (apart from City) who now have the finest defensive partnership in the history of the premiership and the most devastating attack since the Vikings.

The bigging up of Liverpool is driving me up the wall. I wouldn’t mind if it was based on reality. But based on pure hype Klopp saying boooom and a couple of decent signings. They did exactly the same thing about united last season. I remember sitting there just knowing they were talking absolute crap. Yes Liverpool are improved from last season but they are nowhere near City, and will still have a fight on for 2nd.

I admire your enthusiasm. Personally, I'm not as confident we'll finish above them as I have been in recent seasons but I think the 2 clubs will be 2nd and 3rd come the end of the season. I just don't know the order.

Could work in our favour tbh

If Liverpool fail to win the title (or anything) this season, their fans will start to agitate for change and the media will stir it up even more

The last thing Liverpool want to do now is change their manager, as he's actually pretty decent

I can't believe so many picked 5th in the poll. Pessimistic bastards.

I chose 1st
But to be fair we were level on points with first then with 0 just like we are now with 6 points
Fiver says half of them voted between 4th and 6th last season also miserable gits :cautious:

Liverpool play a very reactive style. The better they get in the media's eyes the more teams will sit back against them and they will struggle more to break teams down.

Hopefully

They've got Brighton at the weekend, at home, so I guess we'll see

Yup definitely starting to think that however annoying and unjustified the hype is unless they now win the title anything else will be seen as a failure.

So there we go. Win on Monday and we go ahead of Citeh

Wolves goal was a clear handball but they had a couple of other good chances.

Premier League continues to throw surprises. Everything to play for this season

Spurs (and City) are the only two teams to have always finished top four in the last three seasons. We'll do it again.
And Spurs are the only team that has been top three in the last three seasons, City were fourth when Leicester won.

We'll make it four in a row.

So, do we think West Ham are out of the race yet, or can they still get their act together?
Well Sullivan did have a five year plan to make them English and European champions by 2020 so they'd better get their act together. :p

What exactly have Liverpool done to be crowned the best / second best team in the country? It's bizarre, Spurs and United both finished above them last season, but this season the pundits are acting like we are a irrelevance and Liverpool have already been crowned champions.
