Because he will start every game for them. Once Kane is back, it's not so certain. Now Sonny is back though, we're not as reliant on Llorente. Whereas Chelsea were getting rid of Morata and needed a new striker, because they never play Giroud,
True, though I suspect that Poch might play 2 up front with more strike options at that level rather than Llorente who is as likely to score an own goal as put it in the other teams net. I also think competing against somebody at the same sort of level (and lets be honest, Son is good but not the same level as Kane) would both improve both players and force them to keep pushing to improve and fight for a place.

Higuain is not the same level as Kane, a good player but always has been overated.

No but better than Son and I think he would improve with service like he would get from our Midfield.

Come back to me when Higuain can play as an attacking mid, winger and a free roaming forward the way Son can.

If Higuain was at Spurs the only time he'd get in the team is when Kane is injured.

Sure but end of the day, the guy bangs in a ton of goals and has been prolific in Italy. Started very well for Chelsea too. Not saying he is able to play as many positions, just that he would be a very useful option up front and I think he and Kane would push each other. Wish we had got him instead of Chelsea.

we don't play 4-4-2 and we don't pay someone £200k £270k to sit on the bench. Son has pace, and scores goals.

Higuine is definitely better than Llorentte but no way would he be happy sitting on the bench

edit: cheers @mattyspurs do you think I have time to edit post all day long:cautious:

It was Huddersfield!!!

He’s also being paid £270k per week

I cant believe Higuain is even being debated, there was literally 0% possibility of that being a feasible deal, it would be a deal that wouldn't work for any party.

So back to top4/title race...

At the end of the season you really want to be playing mid-table sides who have nothing to contest, during your run-in.

Interesting that Liverpool have quite a few games against teams that could potentially still be fighting relegation, during this period:

Starting from the 10th March to the end of the season they've got Burnley, Fulham, Southampton, Cardiff, Huddersfield, Newcastle.

Okay, those teams are fighting relegation for a reason (they're crap), but they'll still be tough games.

In the same period City have got Fulham, Cardiff, Palace, Burnley,

And Spurs have got Southampton, Palace, Huddersfield

Not sure how this dynamic has played out in the past (i.e. in practice, is it better to play mid-table teams at the end of the season), but I thought it might be an interesting talking point.

He has a bigger reputation than Son, in the west anyway, but that was really my point, his reputation flatters him, good but not that good.

Mad thing about United is had they not dropped those 2 points to Burnley and should they beat Liverpool they’d only have been 9 pts behind will 11 to play. Crazier things have happened but those 2 pts dropped have cost them.

Anyone else see that computer simulation thing (On Sky I think) where the churned in the fixtures a shitload of times and it comes out with us having a 6% chance of winning the title? The likeliest scenario was us finishing third. Like we needed a simulation to tell us that :D

If it came down to us having to beat Everton to win on the last day to pip Liverpool, then I’d believe it could happen
