I'll admit, I've always thought Dier has a mistake in him so never truly been trusted. That said, in the last few games I see what a fit, sharp Dier could offer.

It's amazing what that slide tackle for England has done for how I view him now ?????
You don't know what you've lost until it's gone!

Not enough people appreciated Michael Carrick until he had gone

I think he has gone down a level the past 18 months, I think he was overplayed and I'm really hoping the combination of Winks/Sissoko has threatened his position enough to step up a few notches. Personally always felt that Dier doesn't necessarily bring great footballing abilities but he's a leader on the pitch and can be a manager for those around him. I see value in that.

Thats the thing, he doesn't need to have great footballing abilities for the role that he plays. He's the enforcer, he breaks up the play and distributes it. It's not pretty, but he does it well in my opinion.

Although I do think he has more abilities than people give him credit for.

I think one of the reasons why we have had poor results of late is because Kane has not returned from injury 100% fully fit.

The absence of Dele and some of our DMs/CMs, as well as the overtime done by the covering midfield players has also affected the team’s overall performance.

Once we have our full (or almost full) squad back, we should see better performances from the team.

I think he’s been pretty damn bad all season, but I definitely see his value when he’s being utilised properly. He just hasn’t been recently.

In a way it would be quite funny if this happened
1. City
2. Liverpool
3. Manure
4. Arsenal
5. Tottenham
6. Chelsea

Champions League winners - Tottenham
Europa League Winners - Chelsea

Arsenal finish 4 th but miss out on CL.

Quite funny, but also extremely heart-attack inducing. Jeez that'd be a long three weeks between the league finishing and the Champions League Final...

I think if Brighton win against Millwall they will have to bring the match forward to the midweek. As if we get to CL semi there’s only one free midweek till end of season and we have to fit palace in as well. Otherwise we will end up with some farcical week having to play Saturday/ Tuesday /Thursday/ Sunday.
