It was tongue in cheek. But it has gone from a virtual impossibility to now being back on table. Although for all the pieces to fall into place Is highly unlikely.

Based on ? Chelsea go above them if they win game in hand. United have a catalogue of injuries and now further European commitment.
Based on experience, they are better than Chelsea and Chelsea have further European commitment too.

The important thing is that Utd have European distractions now like the rest of us as well as being in the FA cup, I was afraid that if they got knocked out then they'd just focus on the league but they're gonna be going into mid of April playing midweek football which is massive.

It’s such a shame about palace and possibly Brighton going further in cup. That advantage from no fixture congestion is negated.

Now that is Spursy, reminds me of Mush in a Bronx Tale, "if it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all"

Saturday is absolutely massive, a win with man u playing Scum and then with only 3 away games left puts us in a very strong position

Beat Southampton all will look good again. It would help if Utd and goons draw. COYS

Got a feeling arsenal will beat them after the euphoria of their win yesterday and all their players out.

If we don’t beat teams like Southampton then we don’t deserve top four. Sure they’ve got a new manager and are playing better but they are a poor side.

I think one of the reasons why we have had poor results of late is because Kane has not returned from injury 100% fully fit.

The absence of Dele and some of our DMs/CMs, as well as the overtime done by the covering midfield players has also affected the team’s overall performance.

Once we have our full (or almost full) squad back, we should see better performances from the team.
Problem with your hypothesis is we’ve been saying that for 4 years. “If only we’ve got them back from injury, imagine ...”

Good job they don’t have Tadic. £11.4 m to Ajax - that was a steal .

Really? We’ve had no ‘in comings’ in the last two TWs despite knowing that Wanyama is broken and would unlikely be at the same top level again and selling Dembele during one of those windows - leaving us with inadequate cover should our midfielders incur further injuries and forcing the remaining fit (or partially fit) players to slog it out.

3/4 years ago, we didn’t have that problem.

Don't really understand what you are arguing here. For the last 4 seasons, at at least one point in every season (or more), fans have been saying "oh yeah, in X weeks we'll have an injury free squad and we'll be THAT great". That period of no injuries never comes, we are fooling ourselves looking to the future and thinking we'll have a full squad available at any given time.

Not arguing your point about being injury free but we should have added reinforcements (midfield) in one of the last two windows if we knew that we would be off loading Dembele and that Wanyama would not be back to his best.

I think Dier ( I may be wrong) had already missed some games through injury/illness before or around the time Dembele was sold, leaving us thin (with experienced players) in the midfield areas.

In a way it would be quite funny if this happened
1. City
2. Liverpool
3. Manure
4. Arsenal
5. Tottenham
6. Chelsea

Champions League winners - Tottenham
Europa League Winners - Chelsea

Arsenal finish 4 th but miss out on CL.

could be us as well.

1. city
2. pool
3. Arsenal/Chelsea
4. Spurs
5. United (win CL)
6. Arsenal/Chelsea (win Europa)

best to hope United get booted from CL next round.
