What did we have it as when we went toe to toe with Chelsea and Leicester? Let’s do the opposite to that and 3rd time lucky we win it. No signings, no stadium, greatest PL title ever here we come ?

January 13 v Man United - that will be a season-defining match.

If we can win that, then we are in a title race. Man United are playing with a renewed sense of confidence, and it will be a very difficult match.

Every game is equal. Look at City. Probably thought their last two games were run of the mill but it could cost them more than playing anyone in the top 6.

Still don’t think we are winning this title, but certainly makes it extremely interesting over the next few games. Liverpool have Arsenal and City next, so it’s certainly not impossible for Liverpool to drop points in those games. We have Wolves and Cardiff, so with our form, you really should be expecting 6 points. We could potentially go into the United home game just a few points off top, incredible

It will be interesting, but I question whether you are over-emphasising on that one singular match. ManUtd will also host both Liverpool and City, whereas Spurs have ManUtd at home. The season is defined by its entirety, not a random winter night fixture.

Half way. A long way to go yet. Just concentrate on picking up points. Title race isn't even worth mentioning yet.

The good news is city should be at full strength when pool show up. If city manage to win or draw then the title race is well and truly on for all 3 teams.

The good thing about our run in the next 2 is we can change players as we have an easier run, pool and city need to play their best players.

Arsenal now 7 points behind so as long as we win Saturday, Arsenal winning would mean they'll still be 7 points behind us and we would be 3 points off Liverpool with the chance to level against Cardiff before City vs Liverpool.

This will be as good a chance as any to catch them.

If they win and we win, we will still be 7 points clear....

We're fucked imo. New stadium to get used to, injuries a-plenty in the one area of the pitch where we really should have strengthened, manager and players potentially upset at a lack of signings, fans in a similar boat, every other team in the league strengthening, tired players just returning from holidays after a gruelling world cup and season before that. We're easily the worst-off of the big 6 and it wouldn't surprise me to see us dropping points all over the shop, especially once CL and cup games kick in. I think those thinking we'll finish 2nd are way too optimistic

Interesting how many people agreed with this at the beginning of the season.
