Absolutely embarrassing. For him and the ref who got sucked in. Hopefully this is the tipping point and refs stop giving them the dream run they've had.

Nothing will happen. He got a tug on the arm, not enough to go down but neither was the tackle against son in the nld.

Said it a few weeks back......stay to within 6 points of the top by the time our new stadium opens then boom what a huge boost. We can then ride the crest of the wave til the end of the season.

I think an addition to the squad could provide a boost for the second half as well. Similar to how everyone was buzzing about the Lucas deal. Another could do a lot of good.

Interesting how many people agreed with this at the beginning of the season.

I'm one of them that voted for 2nd. Just felt we still ahd a strong squad regardless of not signing anyone plus playing at wembley again wasnt going to be a problem as we were now used to it. What I didnt think was pool would be top. Thought man city would win it again. They still could but so can us and pool. Turning in to an exciting season, unlike last when city had it wrapped up at this time.

The good news is city should be at full strength when pool show up. If city manage to win or draw then the title race is well and truly on for all 3 teams.

The good thing about our run in the next 2 is we can change players as we have an easier run, pool and city need to play their best players.
Liverpool always beat City. See no reason for that run to end.

I had us 3rd or 4th as I thought the WC hangover would dent us and thought Utd would be better.

Reading the first few pages and it is amazing how many thought we would fall out the top four.

Whilst i agree just think about it....who was the last player to be signed in jan who
A) slotted straight into the first 11?
B) poch put into the first 11 for any meaningful amount of time.

Any signing from now on needs to be top calibre. Cant see any before the summer.

Yeah people just see clubs making signings and think the world is going to end because we didn't. Even without signings I looked at arsenal and saw how weak they were and not a threat. Chelsea are a 2 man team in hazard and kante and utd under mourinho was a shit show. How anyone thought we would drop lower than 3rd clearly werent using their heads.

It would shit me if Lpool just carried on til the end of the season like feckin Leicester did. It has a horrible feeling of inevitability about it atm.
We've already had that twice. Both Leicester and Chelsea went on ridiculous runs after xmas, squeezing out win after win by a single goal. Would be so typical if we managed to finish above a Pep-led, bilionnaire fuelled City only to come 2nd to some historic Liverpool points tally.

I think they only reason Lucas didn't get more playing time was because of how rusty and not in playing shape he was due to practically never playing for PSG. It's not a super likely scenario just think it would be helpful.

Huh? Completely different situations. The Son was more analogous to the pen he gave away to Moses in the fa cup semi.

Salah’s was straight out cheating. We rightly slam Dele when he did it - and we’ve seen refs now don’t give him nailed on pens. Well Salah can cop some of that heat for a change imo

Was there contact? If your answer is yes then nothing will be done no matter how much we wish it would.

Agreed. Plus we were already quite well stocked in the attacking positions. Was always gonna be hard for Lucas to get in the team ahead of Son, Dele and Eriksen straight after signing.
