Apart from one random tweet saying he is interested, why exactly would Benitez want to leave CL Napoli for Spurs?

I feel that people are starting to grasp at straws now that LVG is gone.

They weren't really unstable were they, plus he didn't have time to mess it up. Why not look at his tenure in Milan?

Your right his time in Milan was a blot on his cv that's for sure but he is still better than some of the people we are being linked with imo.

I am not so sure, I think his day has come and gone. I would rather see a manager that is on the way up.

Italian league is prob now ranked 4th/5th best league at best in Europe. Most of the best managers want to be in England, Spain, Germany. If he gets a chance I think he'll come without a doubt.

Didn't people get upset with AVB's boring football? From what I've seen of Benitez' teams, he is just as boring

What do people want exactly from Tottenham going forward?

Me, I want to win some bloody long overdue silverware and be coached by a proper tactician - ergo, Benitez fits the remit pretty damn well!

Well, seeing how different managers have gone down with besides results, manager can't play too dour football and should be likeable character. Rafa doesn't fit those categories.

Out of curiosity, why would you especially want proper tactician? I couldn't give less if results are there and football is good. Wenger, Cruyff, SAF - hardly renowned for being tactical geniuses.

When he was with Liverpool, he once went an entire season without playing the same team twice. he was known as the Tinkerman.
I can sense the frustration on here now if we were subject to that.

Why? Their strenghts lie elsewhere, especially Wenger & Cruyff. Even Dennis Bergkamp pretty much said so when comparing Cruyff and Van Gaal, mentioned Wenger in those quotes too. Of course it comes down to how and what people define as tactics, but those aren't generally perceived as tactical geniuses, but are great managers nontheless.

Well, right now I'd kill for the level of tactics offered by those 3 compared to what we have.

That's the only concern I have with Benitez but unlike AVB he is very experienced, with a track record of success in La Liga (and not with the big two) and the PL. Big difference there for me.

Yeah not doubting his ability of managerial creditentials, it's just the playing style is similar to AVB but with better results

My choice after lvg, his got the experience , will mAke us more resilient , fed up of our leaky defence now , and bring higuian and hamsik with you we'll win the league
Everyones choice is LVG but he's going to United. Hamsik and Higuain coming here? Hahaha, in my dreams.
